Was listening to my nightly ufo/paranormal stuff on youtube, and decided to go with this episode of Coast 2 Coast. Not sure when it was recorded, a date didnt stand out to me in the recording, it was posted recently though.

So, if anyone doesnt know about skinwalker ranch, I will refer them to another thread here.
It also mentions Robert Bigelow, who is a(the?) funder of NIDS.(National Institute for Discovery of Science)
Vallee mentions Bigelow at the 22 minute mark in the video, and some other interesting things, including a "data warehouse" called "capella" from what I am hearing.
At the 33 minute mark Vallee mentions a ranch in Utah which NIDS has studied, which is Skinwalker Ranch.
I am still in the middle of this video and have to work tomorrow morning, but, I think this is one strange connection and was the first I had heard of Vallee having anything to do with Bigelow/Skinwalker Ranch. Not to say Vallee had anything to do with NIDS out at Skinwalker, but, who knows? They also mention that the documents from the gathering(topic of the talk in the video) will be released after they are translated. Has anyone heard of Capella before? I searched for it and didnt really find much, nothing related to Vallee or UFOs.

Whatever with Jack's elitist, bourgeois UFOlogy.

He's talking about his participation in this:

like it was some big special exclusive event.

Interesting.

I do know that Vallee has worked on the skinwalker ranch and that he signed a non disclosure agreement thereby preventing him from speaking about the details.

This was a great story and we'll probably never know how truthful it was. Vallee appears to have taken the rest of the NIDS team's accounts at face value. He seems to have believed them. All of them had to sign non-disclosure agreements which means we'll never know truth from fantasy or the reasons behind it all.

I swallowed it whole at first (all those scientists!) and have grown more and more sceptical since. I do believe they were attempting to achieve something very, very interesting and don't think they succeeded enough. I think they were going for a Stanford Research Institute-style psi experiment.

NIDS aren't a cohesive group any more and I think the ranch has been mothballed. If the shenanigans actually happened, as reported, would they all disband or would they expand and continue? The narrative in that book undermined Einstein's ToR with implied parallel worlds, time-travelling dinosaurs and critters crawling through wormholes. Too much and not realistic enough.

I think the interview was 2014.

Capella is the former DevMountain coding camp school in Provo. Capella University bought it for 20M earlier this year. Charges ~$10K for a 12-week school.

Vallée is a computer scientist and venture capitalist. Perhaps he brokered or funded the deal, and instead of it being a data warehouse, it is a warehouse of talent, working on data.

I asked JV about skinwalker ranch of course, when he visited me.

You are correct, Dr. Vallee never breaks NDA's or his promise to retain secrets.
He is a most intelligent and honorable fellow.

But I will say that your response is the exact same one I would give, with just one more
bit added.

Per this link:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I think that the "occult scientists" are stuck at delusion level 3.

Now, in my talks with some people at this delusion level, they of course are not
necessarily keen about being characterized as *possibly* being deluded at this
level, but being scientists are open to the possibility.

I too of course am likely deluded... it's really tough to "peek behind the curtain".
It generally costs you your life.. and in those few moments as you die you know
something of the truth. Strangely, I survived however.

Well, that's my "woo" injection for this thread.

Well, my bad for posting old news, everyone.
Does anyone know if the documents from the event were released yet?

Take a break from youtube and check out Magical Mystery Media Podcast! They haven't done one (yet) on Skinwalker Ranch, however, they cover some great topics (that would probably be of interest to many ATS members) and the hosts are intelligent, open-minded, and easy on the ears. Give 'em a shot, you won't be disappointed!

I was very disappointed in that book about skinwalker ranch. It turns out the only person with any real experience in that book with weird events was the original ranch owner. In addition, in the end there is little description of much of any real extraordinary from any one other than him

As for Vallee, I believe he is an intelligence agent whose job is or was to monitor UFO related activities and groups.

Thanks for the link, fellow. I am always interested in expanding my field of knowledge and perspectives of such knowledge.
I was actually looking for a break from youtube recently, the lamestream stuff is pretty boring and played-out.
