There is no us vs them ; if you must look for a division then there are those who torture and there are those who don't.
Honourable death is always welcome to a warrior but torture robs honour of the torturer and the tortured .

For example , say that your men has captured some enemy soldiers and are torturing them ; you are saying that you wouldn't stop this madness if I understood you correctly ; it makes no difference to you how your enemy dies according to what you say.
This is a morally dubious position to hold ; kill your enemy if you must but NEVER allow your honour to be taken from you by way of standing and doing nothing while EVIL prevails in front of your own eyes.
