2016) to review the latest results of the ScanPyramids work.
The scientific archaeological committee is led by former minister
of antiquities Dr. Zahi Hawass and the participation of Dr. Mark
Lehner, the Ancient Egypt Research Associates Director; Dr.
Merslav Barta, Director of the Czech archaeological mission in

archaeological insstitute.
During the meeting Dr. Hani Helal, ScanPyramids Coordinator
explains in details the results that the mission achieved
along the past year inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the
Dahshur Bent Pyramid.
He said that more research is required for the Bent pyramid but
inside the Great Pyramid the project mission located two anomalies:
one at the upper part of the entrance gate and the second was
found at its northern eastern side.
Dr. Helal pointed out that along the up coming period more
researches and studies are to be carried out in order to identify
the natures of these anomalies as well as their functions, nature
and sizes that are not yet identified on his part Dr. Hawass that
the members of the committee assigned by the minister of
antiquities approved in principal the results of the research
carried out by ScanPyramids project. He asserted that the committee
is to prepare a detailed final scientific and archaeological report
on the committee opinion towards the steps of the project since
its begining until now. The report would be sent to Dr. El-Enany

Still not seeing Houdin's "internal ramp" (not expecting to either).
Each plate revealed significant exce ss of muons in the same direction. Several studies were then conducted to prov e that this excess of m uons , which could be interpreted as a void , was not statistical fluctuation or noise. The comparison with detailed simulations shows that this excess is l argely above 5 s igmas. A 5 sigma excess corresponds to an effect wit h a probability above 99.9999%. This value is commonly used in high energy p hysics as a discovery threshold . This excess has t he shape of a straight line. This feature strongly suggests that it cannot ori ginate from inhomogeneities along the viewing lines, but from one or several voids.
Having conducting those three complementary techniques, we are now able to confirm the existence of a “ void ” hidden behind the North Face , that could have the form of at least one corridor going inside the Great Pyramid. The precise shape, size, and exact position of this void is now under further investigation. It should be done with the help of 12 new Muon Emulsion plates that are installed in the descending corridor , and will be collected by the end of October 2016 .
