All we can see, and in all of the Hubble imagery as well, shows a doppler shift of moving away... in every direction.

It's not a perfect representation. A 2-D animation of something that is probably happening in 11 dimensions, at least. What it doesn't show is the constant overall expansion that goes along with it, as well as the expansion / collapse of spacetime in multiple tiny dimensions.
