I am attempting to make a post in the right forum.
This may be a better fit in Paranormal. I mean people are bringing up the devil here!
In 1957, when I was ten, The Philadelphia Bulletin, in its Sunday edition, had a magazine called American Weekly. One week they had an article on
'Testing Your ESP'. The concept was that there were ten cards consisting of five identical pairs. You were to sit back to back with a partner and
attempt to match the cards.
I did so with my two sisters, six and four y/os, with one acting as a QA control observing to see if cheating occurred. We had forty trials, twenty
with each sister and myself. I did not test my sisters with each other. We alternated every five trials. I kept track of results.
The math is straight forward. In one trial, the odds are 120 to one against a perfect match. (5X4X3X2X1=120) If you made A mistake, you must make two.
The odds then drop to six to one for this outcome. (3X2X1=6)
With my one sister, we had 18 PERFECT MATCHES and two with an error. With my other sister, 16 PERFECT MATCHES and four with AN error each.
To calculate the probability: 120 e18 X 36 = 3.45 X e40 for my first set. 120 e16 X 1596 = 2.95 e36 for the second. For all trials it's around 10 to
the 76th.
This number exceeds the GRAM weight of the Universe. (10 X e58) It is comparable to the number of atoms in the Universe. (10 X e 82 protons, all
Hydrogen)
When I read of folks and their strange happenings, few have numbers to support the conclusion that it was an exceptional experience. They then are
torn down by the "objective skeptics". Those people are welcome to expend their efforts here, disputing my carved in concrete numbers and
circumstances.
What I would like to actually happen in the responses (I am not psychic enough to know that there will be replies.) is that, if YOU have numerical
indications that YOUR Quintuple Sigma and larger events can be mathematically proven to be "OUT THERE". do so. I've had anecdotal incidents which
happened that are much more analog. They happened but we can't dispute or prove they are truly odd statistically. This example has clinched my belief
that the Universe is much stranger than so many think.
I guarantee that what we see is not what can be percieved and that what passes for reality is either an illusion or merely a shell. There is much more
to it than this.
Keep amused.
