She is clearly in a conversation with the person she turns her head to repond to and did not notice her father was reaching to shake that persons hand at the same time she was moving in for a hug or kiss.

First of all, who the hell cares. I guess you see what you want to see. I don't want either of the 2 frontrunners to win (I am also from and living in Scotland) and what I see is Donald go to shake someone's hand, his daughter turns round to see who it is and then she greets him with a friendly arm rub which seems a bit odd but not even remotely sinister. I wish the US Elections were dealing in facts instead of posturing, mud slinging and scandals.

On one hand the US is screwed on the other, the world is screwed, there are two other hands too you know, pick one of them...

I don't get it.

I see Trump trying to shake someone's hand and his daughter going around greeting other people as if your at a party, wedding or a gathering etc being polite to people, who you or she could possibly care less about or in general have anxiety but still being polite.

And so you, or she turns suddenly into a family member and gives a friendly pat or in this case a rub. Maybe to not feel like an idiot or to embarrass you or each other.

Uh, he shook hands with someone behind her. He wasn't leaning in for a kiss at all.

Yeah...he wasn't going in for a kiss...just the angle - he actually reaches past her to shake someone's hand & she turns around to probably that same person at the same time
