a reply to: galadofwarthethird It's not hard to find animal remains. I was fossil hunting with my husband in a creek bed near Cincinnati, Ohio. About 60 miles East. He grew up there and said trilobites were to be found in this creek bed. The limestone is loaded with sea shell and prehistoric cephilapods. He was hunting and I noticed some large paw prints. Mountain lion sized. Prints were in the mud of the creek. We came across a deer carcus and a large dead bird like a hawk. Next to each other on the sand bar. I was anxious. Perfect hideout between two bridges for a large cat. We left. His mother later said some exotic cat had escaped someone locally and they never caught it. In my own state I found a leg bone under a tree last winter. Teeth marks all over it. I had to look up deer leg bones to make sure it wasn't a human leg. It was a deer. The bones are out there to be found. Unless someone buries them.

There most certainly ARE extensive cave systems that can stretch hundreds of miles underground. The entire Ohio Kentucky area is riddled with limestone cave systems that are largely unexplored.

I don't dismiss the possibility of it being real, j just have no physical proof to justify it. I firmly believe at a minimum the creature was alive and well 100 to 150 years ago...as for today I'm not sure...

I wasn't saying they don't exist. I was just stating my own theory on the lack of evidence. I've spent plenty a night out in the woods here in Tennessee, often alone. To say I've had some strange experiences is an understatement, to say the least. As far as coming across carcasses out in the hills? Yeah, it does happen, just not a whole lot. Are there things that go bump in the night? I believe so. When im hunting, it doesn't bother me because I usually have a gun. When im fishing, all I have I a knife, so I usually stoke my fire pretty well after dark. I used to be far braver in my late teens, sometimes wandering the woods at night by moonlight. Anyway, I have come across a deer carcass that was odd. There was nothing but the head and most of the neck, a leg, and part of the rib cage and spinal column. The odd part was, it didn't look gnawed on and it was pretty fresh. I continued my squirrel hunt, then later smelled a bad stink. I didn't see anything, but that's supposed to be signs of bigfoot they say. There's a lot more, but frankly, im tired. You do make a good point about the odds of finding a dead Bigfoot, though. New species are discovered every day, my man. Peace

While I think that if Bigfoot is real, he is an ancestor of great apes, and more so of neanderthals, I'm not so sure I can get on board the homosapiens are actually aliens bandwagon.

If we were actually interstellar traveling aliens, where did our knowledge go? Our technology? Why are we genetically linked to the great ape family?

We're not interstellar traveling aliens. You really need to watch the documentary. It perfectly describes his theories and they make quite a bit of sense, logically. Pye theorizes that the Annunaki genetically modified early hominids (us at the time) by inserting part of their genetic code with ours. What we are now is a result of this...a clumsy hybrid species foreign to the planet. Half foreign anyway...

They are skinwalkers, and before they die, they change from their "relaxed default" to deer or bears before they die.

Did you honestly just suggest that Bigfoot was "black people?"

The "apeish face" bit was a nice touch.

Disregarding like 90% of what you said, but you do realize that lmreports and myths of Bigfoot predate Europeans by 100s of years dating back to the first native American tribesmen.

Could be, always knew Montana was sparse and more grasslands then woods, and looked it up. But ya, here in the northwest you would be hard pressed to go for a walk in the woods, you would need a machete and many hours of hacking to get 20 yards anywhere as its just pines and bushes every dam were, I would think even deer and other wild animals would have a hard time moving through some of that growth. But even here it just depends on were you go as its not all like that.

Anyways if your to find deer and moose carcasses while out on hikes, Montana would be the place.

I posted a real encounter I had in the UK. I have no idea what it was. It threw stones at the tent. My dog was terrified. I was terrified.

Leaving now. Sorry my experience offended you.

Just in case anyone is confused, the deleted post above contained no "real encounter." It was a brief, terse statement claiming that no one would confuse Big Foot with "black people" because Big Foot was smart.

It was race baiting, disgusting nonsense.

Mods?

thank you, i imagine if i would of responded to the claims being made, it could have gotten ugly...

my question is this why do some people have to come into a "productive" or at least semi entertaining thread with good conversation going and try and derail it with "jibber jabber"? oh well..

in other news though, i have had some great information and stories come up here in this thread, so despite most every telling me my theory was off base i would call it a success lol

To get this thread back on track, I just wanted to add that I was especially intrigued by the eyewitness accounts stating that Big Foot's eyes glowed red, seemingly with their own interior light. That's creepy as hell. If it's not eye shine (as mentioned above), what could cause that?

My siamese cat's eyes glow red at night, but that's eye shine from the moonlight.

One could postulate that if they had evolved in cave systems there eyes could have evolved to have some sort of photoluminace properties similar to those found on some deep sea fish. ...

Or it could be an indicator that maybe they see in a different light spectrum...and as such there eyes might display a back lit if you will property..

I certainly didn't see that effect.

I have seen eye shine, of course, most of us have.

If they do glow as you say, I've no idea what that would/will signify. No clue.
