I know that there have been supposed "trying to lure kids into the woods" incidents, but have any of the clowns actually done anything malicious?
Anyone wearing clown masks should stop lurking around to "prevent further upset," said police
On Tuesday morning a number of Instagram accounts went live, indicating that there were active clowns lurking in various locations across the Halifax Regional Municipality. Doug Hadley, spokesman from the Halifax Regional School Board, told Metro that at approximately 10 a.m. the halifax_clowns account posted a picture of a clown lurking near the wooded area outside of Halifax West High School
Cpl. Dal Hutchinson of Halifax RCMP said Tuesday the clown phenomenon is something new that the RCMP nation-wide are not used to dealing with, and advises against partaking in the trend. “Someone with a mask on, dressed up as a clown right now during all the unrest that people have because of what’s been on social media, is not a wise thing to do,” he said. “There are things that police can do to attempt to stop you from such behaviour to prevent you from causing further upset.”
Multiple other accounts posted photos claiming to have clowns deployed in both Hammonds Plains and Dartmouth on Tuesday morning, striking enough fear in the population to inspire one individual to start a locally-based ‘anti.clowns’ page. Metro reached out to them via Instagram, and although they wished to remain anonymous they said they have no intention of vigilante action - only to raise awareness of the growing phenomenon
This rise in sightings and outright threats from individuals who think it's comical to dress up and scare the hell out of people has got to be stopped. I cannot even wrap my brain around what must go on in the mentality of these people.

Either they are committing crimes or they aren't. What they are dressed as while committing them (or not) is irrelevant.
Sure, it's creepy. But I'm creeped out by jacked-up trucks with rebel flags on them and, recently, people dressed as cops (i.e. cops). So this clown thing is weird and interesting but, if they aren't keying my car or chasing me down a street, I'm just gonna wave, smile, and keep driving past them.
I think clowns are a threat to our society. Some people. Not me. Say that my opponent wants to let un-vetted clowns run rampant across our country. I think this is bad. Very bad. What I propose. And many people agree with me. Many, many people. Is to build a wall around circuses so clowns cannot gain access to our schools and roadways. A great wall. A really tremendous wall. And we will use what I call extreme, extreme vetting. Extreme vetting. To make sure that the clowns that do come here are not a threat. And we will get the Ringling Brother's to pay for it.
Do you get it now KIDDOS ???
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Organizers are planning a "Clown Lives Matter" march for October 15 in Tucson in reaction to the recent spate of frightening incidents -- both real and imagined -- spread in the news and on social media.
Im driving in my car and a clown steps onto the road. He is then run over. Reversed, and run over again.
