Review - WestWorld

I just watched one of the most interesting pilots in the last few years. The Tv-show Westworld based on the concept made by Michael Crichton
( 1973 ) portray a unique world made by a single man, for the rich to indulge in their, well, non-human behavior..



The music, the plot, the characters mostly everything including the uncanny black dressed man ( the gunslinger ) in a hat brought the show to life. Pre-programmed automatas live to serve their masters.



And a huge plus, they really picked the music right..

Interesting Trivia;

Quentin Tarantino was asked to helm this remake, but he declined.

This is not the first television adaptation based off of the movie of the same name. In 1980 a short lived series called Beyond Westworld aired on CBS, only three episodes aired before cancellation.

Michael Crichton had been approached to write a remake of his own movie before his death in 2008, but he declined.
