NFL executives predict Jay Cutler's future

The clock is ticking on Jay Cutler's time in Chicago. The Bears can release the QB this offseason with minimal impact on their future cap. They don't, however, have a ready-made replacement.

I disagree though with that last statement, I think Hoyer will do a fine job of replacing Cutler, he could not do worse than him and at a much less cost.

I am not a Bears fan by any stretch of the imagination; last time I even rooted for them was when Walter was around. As I was watching my Cowboys put a whooping on them this past week, I did come to a conclusion about the QB situation; Cutler is done.

I told my wife when I saw Hoyer come in and start to move the offense that he looked 10 times better than I ever thought Cutler did.

Fox won't guarantee Cutler gets QB job back

There is no guarantee that Jay Cutler will be the team's starting quarterback once he is medically cleared to return from a right thumb sprain.

Then I go to Espn and find out I wasn't the only one to notice, even Coach Fox said it, no guarantee when or if he gets better that Cutler will get his spot back in the lineup and I bet you he will be traded ASAP, if anyone wants him, he might be a good fit for Cleveland if the Bears could get a 5th round pick in return at least, I think they pull the trigger on a trade.

Either way, Cutler and his ridiculous salary will not be there next year, especially if Hoyer keeps looking like he did Sunday night.

I have no clue as to why Cutler is still in business. They couldn't do worse with the new kid. Although they have more issues than just whose at QB.

The Bears problems start in upper management. Until they figure that out you will see a sub par product from Chicago.

What's really sad is New Orleans. They are wasting a fantastic offense with one of the historically worst defenses ever. If their D was at least average they would be dangerous.

I just moved down here and seeing the pain of the NO fans almost makes me feel bad for them.

Cutler will be a Bear for the rest of the year. They will not win anymore than 4 games and have a top 3 pick. With a top three pick I see them moving back and accumulating picks. Prediction: Bears have the 2nd pick and trade it to the Titans for the 9 & 11 spot. a reply to: searcherfortruth

That's true...in a way.

The real problem is the fans. The Bears suck...they have for a long time...but they sell out every home game and the aftermarket prices on tickets are insane.

Upper management knows this and they know they don't have to really spend any big money in order to pack their stadium and still make their money.

The problem with boycotting(the fans only option) is that most of the money comes from the networks. Hard to protest. The Toronto Maple Leafs did it for DECADES. It's a hard spot to be in.

That's very true.

I think one thing that may help is getting a second NFL team in the Chicagoland area...not that has helped our baseball teams too much though.
