However, starting a thread without giving any information in this case is like me saying, "I have this physics problem and a need a solution, but I can't tell you what the problem is, but I need help figuring it out." t's plain dumb to expect some kind of resolve to an issue with no information.

It´s plain dumb to refuse to read the OP, where I never asked for help. Show me where I asked for help! You are so far off with your assumptions about me it´s really not funny. You think I made that thread because I need help? Read it until you finally understand. It´s not that hard, others got it too.

If one is self aware enough to reflect on those incidents later, we usually end up feeling foolish or guilty for how we reacted. The ability to bring that process forward to the present is a hugely important element required for a civilised society to function.

Yep. The whining of being 'triggered' is, I think, as you say a, a hindrance to this information being brought forth for the benefit of understanding the human condition. Again, as you say we now know the legitimate science of triggering from the more dramatic cases. From understanding the dramatic cases we can see how it is a normal human mental function blown out of healthy proportion.

And therein lies the human challenge of not only understanding of what makes us human, but more, how we can go about making ourselves better in light of our knowledge. This for me has always been the challenge of liberalism. To not only listen to 'new' insights into our condition and situations, but more to then use that information and guide ones development in accordance. And claiming 'being triggered' only demonstrates a willingness to allow those baser impulses to rule us. This to me is not liberalism and this is why I do not see these SJW as being liberal. To me, being liberal is not only accepting who one is, but more, developing a better version of oneself.

Sadly "triggered" has become a word to use to excuse terrible behaviour, and lazyness.

I say this as someone many here would consider a total liberal (I grew up socialist, I'm a pagan, and I vote green. I also own a gun, carry knives when its legal, and train martial arts of the military kind).

People with PTSD deserve understanding, but now there is an entire generation who have co-opted that idea so they can rant, have tantrums, or avoid putting an assignment in for assessment.
