Does the pineal gland look like a pie cone? No, not really unless you want it to. It's more acorn shaped.
What is the thinking that a pine cone is symbolic of a pine cone? I think pine cones were part of Roman art, which is why the Vatican has inherited a
big statue. Probably, looking that far back, you can bet that pine cones were part of pagan art, as they are quite "draw-able". Acorns certainly
have mysticism and are all over Cathedrals, Churches and other places in England, often as inheritance from the host pre-Christian culture.
