Nope,

Thor is part of the same group of gods, he's a storm god. Odin is not a strom god. They are not that similar

Odin:
Shamaic (unmanly in the Germanic cultures)
King/Chief
God of many things
Hung himself to gain knowledge

Thor
Psyco (no honetly he is)
Storm god

Wednesday (Woden's day) is ODins day
Thursday (Thors Day) is Thors day
Friday (Frigs Day) is Odins wifes day
and
Tuesday (Tyrs day) is Tyrs day.

Each is a different deity, of different functions.
