Do you lead by example or just mouth off on an Internet forum anonymously.

Right back at you.

No, i dont do anything. But then im not claiming what you are claiming. So, as i thought, you are a hypocrite. You rail against technology yet use it every day to make your life better and more enjoyable and you claim that we are ignoring the human cost of all this advancement as well as the human plight of war, famine etc...but do nothing.

Got it .

No, i dont do anything. But then I'm not claiming what you are claiming.

You should have to go back in time a hundred years or so, live like people lived for millennia without electric light, cars, hot running water, cook tops and refrigerators.

You'd shrivel if you didn't have your comfy techno bed. As far as that goes, all the warm fuzzy stuff people do all day that its helpful and supportive to others is fine. All the things they do that consume the earths resources, returning nothing but waste and pollution, isn't. So yah, I try to keep the consumption down, do my part to help others with my very limited means and rail on the internet about all the lies, injustice, murder and environmental degradation.

So what? You just immerse yourself in selfish desire and piss at others for trying to help others understand or effect change of minds or heart.

Very on topic, curmudgeon.

Done with you, here.

You are VERY adept at avoiding answering any question you cant answer. Ive noticed this in other threads too. Thats says it all about you my friend. That says it all .

Dont worry, im done with you as well. I have no time for people who blatantly avoid questions posed to them .

You're the one close minded, 'slick'. I already asked you how you 'believe' theres no spirit realm which you refused to answer. When I try to demonstrate my beliefs scientifically even, you deflect and make personal attacks.

I mean thats okay, and all. I'm not put off by it.

Listen, no point carrying on. With all due respect, I basically disagree with everything you say, everything you think, the way you think, the way you react to question and the questions you ask, as well as the way you ask them.

There is no dialogue to be had here in this thread between us. Have a nice day ( i mean that)

You're not honest either.

Actually. I WAS being honest and trying to say no hard feelings. Thanks for throwing it back in my face mate. Wow.

Cry me a river.

you've thrown everything I said back in my face and now you're playing the victim card.

Meh...

I don't much like you either.

We established that ten pages ago. (??)

Well, that turned out well..

Read this quote earlier that was qtd in John Irving's A Prayer for Owen Meany and was immediately reminded of this extremely frustrating thread.

Enjoy!

"Not the least of my problems is that I can hardly even imagine what kind of an experience a genuine, self-authenticating religious experience would be. Without somehow destroying me in the process, how could God reveal himself in a way that would leave no room for doubt? If there were no room for doubt there would be no room for me."

Was only a matter of time till the thread descended into what it did lol. Not even surprised. I would've liked to hear a little more from the believer camp though.

Thanks for sharing another beautiful quote. Not familiar with the author but very eloquently put.

"What will it take to change your mind?"

i suppose i could start believing if a second moon magically appeared in the sky during my lunch break, or if the sun developed a smiley face overnight (complete with classy shades). maybe both within a 24 hour period. but "believing" and "submitting" are two entirely different fish.
