Oh waaaa the republican party whore was made fun of.
"Oh woe is me you're all so mean"

Pfft, you know for a group of people who constantly harp on rugged individualism & personal responsibility you all sure whine alot.

The irony is that she probably is killing herself.
No one can carry so much vile bile in their belly without rotting from the inside out.

& yes I'm an evil person because I hope that hag suffers horribly just to balance the Karmic scales.

K~

That might be the worst attempt at an insult I've ever read. I always thought lefties were supposed to be good at this sort of thing, but Ann even betters you in that.

Why is this an issue? It's a roast. This is what happens at a roast.

people need to lighten up.

All these roasts are tasteless. But she didn't have to attend.

Once you do, you're fair game.

Umm...it was supposed to be a roast of Rob Lowe.

She was ambushed - and there is no excuse for telling a woman, ever, that she should kill herself (just among many other offensive comments).

There is always one person on the dais, that the roast is underhandedly really about.
Mike "the situation" was one. I can't think of the other ones off the top of my head.
But yea, there's one every year.
Not to mention, all the terrible things she has said over the years..
At the end of the day, these roasts are the last bastion of free speech in the US
God Bless Comedy

Ann Coulter is an idiotic, lying sack of delusional fecal matter.

That being said, she has one good trait.

She's got big, huge balls. That woman will go on any show... no matter how liberal the audience or host... she'll go regardless, and stick to her nonsense talking points like the lunatic she is.

Say what you will about her, she's either very brave or incredibly masochistic.

I hear she likes you too.

Let's face it; she is a loon, but you're right, she does not back down from anyone.

You sound like a friendly fellow. It must be one of your good traits.

What's so nonsense about her talking points? I have a mild suspicion you haven't read any of her books, but even so, there must be some reason why you call her a lunatic, lying sack of fecal matter, besides the typical tribalisms.

AS has already been said before hand. You don't show up for a Roast unless you're prepared to be burned and hard.

The second point is...and take all partisan politics out of it. Ann Coulter is one of the most hateful, mean spirited, jerks I've ever seen in my entire life. How any sane human being could watch, listen or read her senseless hate is beyond me. She belongs on a plane to North Korea.

She is just a nasty, horrible person. How is she even famous?

Editing to add some source material. These are actual quotes from her.

"If you wanted to teach people about the great things about America, a college campus is the last place you’d send them. Even fanatical Muslim terrorists don’t hate America like liberals do."

The "backbone of the Democratic Party" is a "typical fat, implacable welfare recipient."

"If I'm going to say anything about John Edwards in the future, I'll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot."

"These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by griefparrazies. I have never seen people enjoying their husband's deaths so much." -on 9/11 widows who have been critical of the Bush administration

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity."

"Press passes can't be that hard to come by if the White House allows that old Arab Helen Thomas to sit within yards of the President."

''I was going to have a few comments about John Edwards but you have to go into rehab if you use the word faggot.''

''It would be a much better country if women did not vote. That is simply a fact. In fact, in every presidential election since 1950 - except Goldwater in '64 - the Republican would have won, if only the men had voted.''

''My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building.''

She takes a point and pushes it to the extreme in order to shock people.
She says things like women should not vote and voting should require a literacy test and poll tax... I mean she can't really believe those things, but she says them anyway for shock value.

I disagree with the vile comments about her on this thread though.

I'm not sure how that constitutes lunacy, especially by any medical definition of the term, but she definitely has a troll streak about her. I enjoy her shock value personally, and there seems no other rebuttal to her arguments than to feign outrage, clutch pearls and call her names. Her last book about Trump was on point.

So then how do you justify your hateful name-calling and mean-spiritedness? Sounds nasty and horrible to me. And yes I've been to North Korea.

No.. I would not torture myself with one of her.... "books". I have, however, seen her out promoting said books. Often. I can't tell you how many times she's appeared on Bill Maher's shows... but it's a lot. So, yeah.. I may not have read any of her books... but I'm very familiar with Ms. Coulter ... and yes.. IMO .. she's a nutcase... among very many other unsavory things.

As for my being friendly... lol... I never claimed to be friendly, nice, or anything other than honest.

Oh you've seen her on Bill Maher. Very familiar indeed. Let me guess, she said some things that offended you?

So then how do you justify your hateful name-calling and mean-spiritedness? Sounds nasty and horrible to me. And yes I've been to North Korea.

How do I justify? I saw that you enjoy her and her books, so there is no need for me to direct you to google to research some of the things she has said. You already know how mean she is and how offensive to pretty much everyone except those poor brainwashed souls who are filled with hate. You know people who listen to Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. Don't swing it around to me being liberal. I don't listen, read or watch any propaganda whether it is left or right wing.

It's it name calling if I call her a horrible, nasty person? That's just a description of her personality. She says things for shock value, but It's not an act. She's always like that. She really is that nasty.

She has a right to be as nasty and hateful and mean as she wants to. This is America and I definitely stand behind her right to free speech. But it is also my right to call her on it. And really anyone who would listen to this. When you read or listen to this much hate and negativity, you can't help but be effected/affected by it. There has to be a psychological term for it. It's not good.

A couple of questions this brings up to me. Why do people like her? Is it because she says things they're feeling but are afraid to say in public? It's not political correctness that stops people from calling people out of name in public. Why does she never turn her venom on those on the right or conservatives?

I learned a long time ago, that someone that only sees the wrongs, limitations or short fallings on one side, is one that is either blind to the truth and therefor dangerously ignorant or has an agenda to torpedo/sink that side for profit. That one is all the more dangerous for their lack of morals. There is no telling what that person will do.

I also learned that when we only listen to one side of the arguement like, here in the US...the left vs right paradigm, that we become brainwashed and indoctrinated. How can you know all sides to an issue and make an informed decision when you are being fed information from a source that has an obvious agenda or is ignorant, either willfully or not. The answer is that you can not.

I've only read two of her books.

No I'm just wondering how you justify the double-standards of saying hurtful and mean-spirited things to people you perceive to say hurtful and mean-spirited things. If you're not willing to hold your own conduct to the same standard, why should anyone believe you when you demand the same of others?

You're missing what I said. I'll explain.

If you said that I was misinformed because I voted for Obama last election and then laid out a couple of policy decisions that backed up this claim and told me I should have voted for Romney instead. Well that's a meaningful discussion. You could even say...that you had reservations about his background, lack of transparancy and that michelle was a terrible first lady and that you though his kids were misbehaved and on and on.

But if you said that Obama is a retard and I must hate this country more than most terrorists because I voted for him, then that would be hateful and mean spirited and nasty. I would call you out on it.

That's the type of stuff ann coulter says on a daily basis. Do you see the difference? LOL Most of the quotes from Ann that you can pull up on the internet and there are THOUSANDS of them are way more offensive and mean spirited than that.

That's not true, except for perhaps her twitter account. if you go onto google specifically looking for mean-spirited quotes, you'll find them. I could google your mean-spirited quotes and find the same, but it would be stupid of me to pretend that your quotes are fair representation of who you are, your personality and your ethical stance.

She is a contrarian and she is provocative, but that's about all you got. Your mean-spiritedness, your hate, is unjustified.

LOL

But that's not true. Because you won't find me insulting widows of 9/11 victims, you won't find me calling people retards, you won't find me using homosexual slurs, you won't find me insulting an entire demographic by calling them fat and lazy, you won't find me insulting the elderly, and people of faith.

And then again, I'm just an small potatoes, anonymous guy on the internet and maybe 10 people will ready my posts today if I'm lucky. Ann Coulter is a media pundit with thousands of followers.

It's not insulting to shine a light on what she says. She is one of the most hateful people alive today that I've ever witnessed. I base that last sentence on what she says and what she writes.

The question is, why have you fallen under her spell and why can't you see it? Why do you defend her? Interesting questions.

One more thing....Is being a contrarian and and provocative, mean calling Obama a retard? Or worse? No...that's being offensive and juvinille. In this day and age, if you're mature, you might say.."Obama's police on ISIS is not working and here is why..." But that's no many words for good ole Ann and she results to 5th grade name calling. Be careful of the media you consume....it's probably holding you back.

That's very good of you. But there are plenty of sadistic, violent, and psychopaths who do not insult people. Jeffry Dahmer was considered a nice man by everyone that knew him. So though I won't find some insulting the elderly, we could find them doing other things that are morally reprehensible.

Words are not weapons. She gets to you because you let her.

What spell?

I defend her because she doesn't seem like the person you're condemning her as.
