After Dusk

Sunlight dwindles, warming energy fades.
Into the dark, a gradual shift of energy awakes.
Rejuvenating properties I will absorb

My pupils swell, my blood hastens,
Each night begins my awakening anew.
With a deep breath I anticipate it's beckoning.

Barefoot to the ground, cool breeze on my skin
I feel it creep from the ground to rise through me
Engulfed in it's nightly grasp I know I am home.
