What a cool photo!!! What is that? A stargate?
ETA: I see others asked and you answered, LOL Hmmm, I might have to see if I can find where it came from, very neat!

GIMMIE!!!! [[[HUGS]]] How the heck have you been? Have you been enjoying the cooler weather? I think it is getting ready to leave us now though. I thought about you the other day but I didn’t have a camera with me. They had these thingies going down the tracks at grandma’s that was clearing all the gravels and stuff up, it was really neat. Thanks for the video, that is crazy!!! But at least no one was aboard!

a reply to: Night Star
Night that video was totally cool!!!!

Ah how beautiful!!!! I hope you slept well!

I am catching up on work and ATS. HAHAHA I’m on my second cup of coffee so I almost resemble a human again. Too many nights of staying up too late. I didn’t want to go to bed last night. Oh well, sleep is for pansies. LOL

ETA: Mac! So good to see you back. Urg, I HATE moving day! But it is always so much fun to set up the new house. Hopefully wifey will have everything done when you return. Thanks for the message, I have passed it on

right on! thanks.

Ya, I hope she gets the brunt of it all finished before i get home....and the internet hooked up!
Its been an adventure so far. Our new stove doesnt come till this saturday. So EVERYTHING weve made to eat at home, has been on the BBQ. Which, dont get me wrong - is great. But very time consuming, when you use charcoal like myself, rather than propane.

Hey mac!

Hows the little kitty doing😀

I too use charcoal. Its a pain and its trickier to control the temp and takes a higher learning curve and skill set than propane. Steak and ribs, any meat tastes so much better cooked over charcoal.

I set up the grill about twice a week. Its a major pain. I have to arrange it just so and watch the flames like a hawk. Usually a good time to have a beer in my hands. If i get careless then i find in the morning shriveled up heliconia and plumeria leaves. Zazzy and mockingbird sit closest to the grill and zazzy is quite showey this season. Id hate to have the real zazzy kick my butt for not respecting her aptly named flowers. I should also move the taro further away from the kettle now that i think about it. But in the end charcoal and real fire engages the caveman base instincts in me, which i enjoy.

I cooked a rib eye prime cut all by my lonesome yesterday for labor day. Then promptly fell asleep.

Hi everybody from the thread. Im sorry ive been away the last week or two. Been busy. But also been disturbed by the behaviour of a friend of mine i semi watch over. Hes schizophrenic and a raging alcoholic too. Over the last two weeks ive had to stop him from executing revenge on random people over several paranoid delusional conspiracies.

Hes accussed random neighbors of killing his mothers friend who died while drunk driving into head on traffic on a highway the next state over. Almost got arrested for banging on their door at 3am calling them murderers.

Then a few days later believed his mother, who has a mutual restraining order on him (she shot him with a .38 two years ago...on purpose) killed his 14 year old dog via poisoning somehow although she died in bed from old age with him in his apartment alone together.

In response he violated the restraining order and broke into his moms house in the middle of the night and stoll her dog and attempted to poison it.

I had to walk almost two miles on foot in the middle of a job to his apartment. Pick his locks, get in and rescue the little sh!tzu who wouldnt go anywhere near the tainted food he had left out. Poor dog was licked up aline all day in the apartment barking like mad and peed all over the place.

His landlord is trying to evict him. Not for the crazy schizoid behaviour but because he keeps drunk driving and crashing his beat up car into the apartment building at night.

Hes tried to physically fight me twice in the last week. Is passed out drunk on the sidewalk clutching a bottle of booze by 11am every morning.

Lately hes leaving me messages telling me he owns me and not to cross him.

I grew up with the guy but am fixing to abandon him. I just cant take it anymore. He wont take his anti psychotics. Wont stop drinking. Chain smokes 2 packs a day, i had to force him physically to take a shower the other day, as in shoved him in to a shower and physically held him under the water while he protested. He only showers no joke about once maybe twice a week.......and becuase he looks sorta like brad pitt on a bender. Hes got a different floozie hes picked up at the local hollywood bars the night before running terrified from his apartment crying every other morning.

He just called 10 minutes ago at 6am wondering if im coming over to hang out with him.

Ive now resorted to not talking to him period. Not picking up the phone. Not returning calls. Ive done all i can to help the guy. He calls up to a dozen times a day. he needs serious medical supervision which i cant provide nor will he partake in.

So ive been away from the shed.

Returning to my home and my lovely accasian shire to be with my family and friends here. I feel semi like a failure returning home. The other half just happy to be around people like you folk.

So im back and happy to be here.

Ive not posted much. But all that will change as halloween approaches. I got ghost stories and other assorted personal paranormal occurrences to share that will leave you wondering. Can all this really have happened to one guy? Even over a lifetime? Is he making this all up? But it will be safe to say ill be filling up pages with ghost stories here in the shed in about a months time.

Hope everybodies been ok since ive been partially away.

I miss everybody.

Dave

Hello everyone!

Rainy and cool day today. Think I'll actually need a sweater when I go out later.

Dave, your friend needs professional help and is a danger to society. It is best that you stay away before he causes you or your home any damage. You did what you could for as long as you could. If he refuses his meds, he will continue on this downward spiral. Being an alcoholic doesn't help. There are people you can help and sadly, those that you can't.

You have been terribly missed here at the shed and I can hardly wait to hear your paranormal stories!

Hey Dave,
Ya being able to cook with charcoal is a talent...that is only learnt by repeated failure and experimentation lol.
I got my grill down to a science. But if I were to hop on another persons, what works for mine, probably wont work on theirs.
I have a few leaks in mine, just from repeated use. So I have to keep my butterfly valve intakes fully open until 350 F
Once at 350, I almost close which ever one is opposite of the wind. Then I just monitor my heat, adjusting every so often to keep it at 350. Like I said - A science lol.

As for the cat, I was hoping for more pics from over the weekend. I dont have internet set up at my new house yet. But when I checked this morning, there was nothing. I cant wait to get my hands on that kitty.
I will love him and pet him, and hug him and call him George. lol jk

Ok happy to talk to you.

I missed you guys.

Oh and i had this awesome dream with Gordi in it. I was walking down some road feeling all depressed when a car pulls up next to me and honks its horn. Its gordi and his funky rad car he showed pictures of in the shed the other day.

I get in and everything feels changed. I feel rescued and elated. Excited for a night on the town. Gordi is like this cool older brother and we end up driving down the sunset strip outshining everybody. Some guy in a lamborghini begs gordi to sell him his car so he can be as cool. But gordi just laughed and we drove off.

I have a feeling if gordi and i were to ever hang out (and ive always wanted to visit Scotland) it would be like two peas in a pod.

Gather up the lovely frangipanis on the ground and pop them in a bowl of iced water to float! The fragrance in your house will be delicious!

Yes!!! I do do that!😀

Also in the afternoons i get a breeze from the ocean. It carries the scent into my apartment in thick tendrils that instantly lower blood pressure and make me feel transported away to a tropical beach.

Your variety has the strongest scent neing that classical frangipani ftagtance. Of creamy powdery citrus and jasmine.

Im actually very proud of her this year. She went from nine branches to 15 this season and has tripled the amount of flower spikes this season over last. Next year shoukd be absolutely spectacular. The lityle old lady in my neighborhood still steals your flowers when she thinks nobodies looking. I just let her. She stands in her tippy toes trying to pluck just one single flowers which she sniffs like crazy and scoots off all happy with.

Mockingbirds medly is producing a second batch of flowers which is unusual for her. First time ive seen her do it. Shes in a 5 gallon right now but after this season im puttingvher in a 15 gallon. Shes already 7 foot tall and looks kinda like a giant wishbone. But now shes got three branches on each arm of her trunk. Shes going to be a biiiiiiig girl one day a literal tree of gorgeous sunset colored sherbert flowers.

But most notibly is kaelcie's captivation. The moat unique of all my plumeria. Shes producing a second wave of flowers late this season when she never has before and according to the breeders doesnt usually do.

I think they are picking up on the warm vibes of their shed mothers and are happy because of it.

Also could be the kelp, fish and b1 concoction i give them. Love love love kelp. I swear by it.
Try it on your amazing garden. I promise youll like the results. Also microrhyzia (sp) is a huge boon too.

One day im goung to visit your farm and youll get all upset cause i spend all my time volenteering to play in your garden and youre trying to show me tbecrest of virginia. Im kinda like David garden Gnome.

Ha! Wed be great bbqing together. I do the same thing with the vents. I feel by hand and have gotten good at estimating the temp that way.

Im nearly useless on someone elses grill. Its true every one of them has a different temperament. Same thing with bass guitars. I can shred on mine. Pick up soneone elses and not so much.

I think cars are the same way.

Dave!!! What a sight for sore eyes you are!!!! I am so sorry you have been going through all of this. [[[HUGS]]] Know that you have done EVERYTHING in your power for your friend. There is NOTHING that you have done or could have done better. You have been the best friend possible BUT sometimes that is just not enough. Your friend needs medical help. Is there any way that you could possibly get him committed? And I don’t mean that bad!!!! But maybe that would be the beginning of him getting the help he needs. [[[HUGS]]] I’m here any time you need to chat….or scream.

We’ve had the cold and rainy but it is starting to warm up now. There were a few days I actually had on a long sleeve shirt at night and Saturday morning at the race I actually had to wear a jacket!!! (Which reminds me I need to post pictures…) Have fun out & about today!

OK, I totally forgot that I haven’t posted the pictures from Saturday’s race yet. The first one is Paul and one of our good friends Bruce. The second one is…..Hillary & Trump! LOL (And they ran with that on for 15 MILES!!!!!)

Hey Jess!!!!!!

This cooler weather couldn't have came at a better time. Just had to come in for Labor Day and make for a nice and comfortable weekend. Had no choice but to go out and enjoy it.
Those contraptions that you laid your eyes on were more than likely a ballast cleaner and a spreader.

Now that video of the rocket exploding was just awesome. Good to know there were no injuries, physically unless you count SpaceX's pride, when it happened.
