Favourite games on all of those platforms were.

Turbo Esprit. - Became the basis for Grand Theft Auto, the developers like me loved this game. Turbo Esprit Wiki

Stunt Car Racer - Drive a car over roller coaster tracks, loved this game. Wiki

The Way of the exploding fist - One of the best beat-em ups for it's time. Wiki

Pyjamarama - Wiki

Honourable mentions to Hunter, M1 tank platoon & Geoff Crammonds Formala one series.

LOL

I'm old enough to remember each 'Advancements' and with each came a new generational favorite.

Generational as in th next level of sophistication in graphics, audio, parameters etc.

Pong
Dig Dug
Tempest
Doom
Half-life
Doom3

so on and so forth and everything in-between and newer....

Platforms?

All of them, each in turn.

Video games???
Sit down with an actual opponent and converse during the game. Have snacks and drinks. Socialise.
I love backgammon and I'm ruthless at it.

I also love parcheesii.

And shoots and ladders when my opponents are five. Giggles galore. Gold fish crackers and cherry KoolAid everywhere.

Put down the remote control..

But for screen time I love Pharaoh/Cleopatra city building and empire building.

You are showing your age with comments like that.

Playing video games with friends is just as sociable as draughts, backgammon or whatever you play.
I have 3 friends all in our 30's come over once a week to play Fifa, we sit, shoot the shiz and play video games.
It's no less sociable but our hand eye coordination will be superior.

My favourite "old game" would have to be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I played the Hell out of that game.

LOL

I did Tech Support for Oregon Trail back in the day.

Later, beta testing and tech support for many titles including AVP Gold, MAFIA, Max Payne, GTA III, Vietcong. Black And White, Lego Media....

www.manta.com...

We handled over 300+ various software titles and then later I worked here

www.ign.com...

I'd still be there but 'Global-star' bought us out. I survived three rounds of layoffs and poof...
