I found this full version of Putin's speech in St Petersburgh. It is a confidential meeting with various media, though it looks like someone broke rank.

It seems to me that Putin is more fearful from US actions in Romania and perhaps more so Poland, or perhaps not so fearful, there is also a hint of Russian defense systems that might be more superior than is thought, that makes me wonder just how superior, however Putin's stance seems to be in the realm of defense, and perhaps...in my thinking, that might mean a missile attack against Russia might be impotent, or worse still missiles could be deflected to the detriment of any attackers against Russia. Anyway, all the translated text is on screen.

There was a thread a month ago about Putin making this speech that was dealt with at the link below, but this video wasn't around then and the discussion took a different turn into a WW3 scenario and MAD. But what if, there is actually a system that could turn nuclear attackers into the only victims...at least at this time, and that this system is only in the hands of one superpower.

I don't know why we'd attack Russia unless it moved aggressively into countries that it currently does not have any right to which would be the former Soviet Bloc countries.

Fascinating video - thanks for posting. Gives me the impression of someone who's backs against the wall somewhat - and that's certainly a bad place to be for all concerned.

I also felt he actually puts his point across quite succinctly (not that I'm a fan, mind)

That is part of the trouble, Russian aggression against those countries is theatre for the likes of the UN, they only need to believe whomever they like. It's pretty clear that events in Ukraine had foreign parties involved, as well as home grown oligarchs. It's also pretty clear that there are some of those countries who are democratic in name only, and are really family concerns, who like to play with the big boys and even so will have no bother in locking up journalists and dissenters and what have you...that's how complex these things are, and Putin knows this, while his job is to look after Russia, and it is precisely the scenario you talk about, that he knows he may have to make a push into, and it only gets worse if there are foreign forces encamped there.

Yes, he also used Polish undocumented workers to build Trump Tower in NY, that's all I'll say on that here, I don't want to divert into to current election themes unless there is some singular or branched direct connection to this thread, no matter how difficult that could be, same goes for any Hilary memes.

The US has no strategic interests in Russia ... they do have some exceptionally beautiful women (but I'm too old for that).

So ... when you here Vlad talking ... do understand that Vlad is politicking.

There's no reason we can't be friends ... but he really did over-develop an offensive capability that cannot be justified as anything other than an overwhelming first-strike threat.

I would love to whip those beet munching commie drunks again in a real war as opposed to annihilating them in a Cold War...

The couldn't defeat Afghanistan in a decade while we completely destroyed the entire Afghanimilitary and its "militias" in a matter of months...

Bring it on Putin....we would love to remind you what it's like to be on Americas bad side..

Can you enlarge on that, what works and what doesn't work, the Norway spiral was a failed launch wasn't it?

I did hear Vlad talking, I think we all understand the Vlad is a politician...we are all adults here...I think.

Bless...it's not a game of footy, left or right. As for Hitler and the Nazis it was the Russians that penultimately destroyed them.
Hitler's operation against the Russians was cockahoop rascism as illustrated in Mein Kampf, and called operation Barbarossa, you don't do things like that twice...read the history/s.

I think your Christosterone has gone to your head and remember that arrogance will get you dead. Don't take my words as a threat. It's your own words that will judge you....you make light of things that are too heavy for you to bear.

Beat munching Commie drunks? Is this still the WWII or Cold War Era? Mandala Effect much?

Oh, well great. Prepared or joining up to help out? No one should want the eve of WWII(or II depending on the "effect) whether their comrades can do damage or not.

You did? i guess just like you defeated the Viet Cong back in the 60's

wait, is that a Mandella moment?

People like you fail to realise there are two types of wars, one against uniformed and badged soldiers and equipment, the second is the non-uniformed and non badged, the non uniformed seem to have been pretty successful over the last 20 or so years, like Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria.

LOL, YOU defeated those as well apparently, dream on, UP the resistance

You guys still linking articles from readstate(Salem) media I see.
When it suites your narrative I guess...

You don't honestly believe Trump did the hiring himself?
Just like the construction company Trump hired that employed illegals was Trumps fault I get it...
Sheesh! It's every damn thread with you people.

In regards to the OP.
I have linked this video multiple times in a few threads. Thanks for taking the time to create a thread. It worried me that I had to stumble across this video on Youtube to know of it's existence. The day Putin said this is the day western media should have been reporting it. The world is already chaotic enough with Islamic terrorism, mass immigration, etc. Why the hell would anyone want to return to cold war status with Russia?

Putin isn't one of these spineless western politicians like Obama, Trudeau, Camron, or Merkel. He will stick to his words and protect his country, people, and interests. Look at Crimea! Our leaders should be looking to resolve this rather make it worse.

All he's asking is to not put these so called "defensive" weapons within striking distance of Russia. Doesn't seem very unreasonable seeing as there is no more a threat of a nuclear Iran than there is of nuclear Israel. That's all this is about anyway. Nations wanting to feel secure and not have advanced missile systems within striking distance of their capital cities. Much like the Cuban missile crisis in the 60's. Only now the it's Russia with missiles in their backyard and rather than Kennedy and Khrushchev we have Obama(shudder) and Putin.
With NATO playing cheerleader!
