It is no secret under Bush and the not so wise Iraq War decision global opinion of the US was not good. On the election of Obama those numbers rebounded and remain high to this day. As Obama Years Draw to a Close

So what how does the world see Putin? How about Clinton? How about Trump? As Obama Years Draw to a Close





Clinton comes out about as well as Merkel, while Trump some how comes out even lower than Putin.

Other interesting things of note, Americans are still seen as hard working and optimistic but, are being seen a less tolerant. Americans are also seen as arrogant, greedy and violent. Not something easy to disagree with.

So over all one has to question Trumps entire narrative about how the US seen. It is clear his ignorance of the rest of the world has left a bad taste in worlds opinion of him. To put it in perspective, Bush Jr at his lowest point in world opinion, the world still had much more confidence in his leadership that they do Trumps. That is just down right scary.

Obama has had some bad press, but you will find the U.S is slightly healthier than it was at the end of Bush's tenure. But if we were to use this as a measure, then Clinton would be seen as a great achiever.

Thankfully it's not just the economy that's considered by most people. We need to look at foreign policy, the treatment of citizens, I.e Human Rights, the health of citizens and the provision of a health service.

I wonder how favorable it was with Kennedy, Nixon, Johnson, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan.

Many of the countries that see us as favorable do so because they enjoy that bonus check uncle Sam sends them.

Cold War data would be off because polling would not be allowed on half the planet. As for Foreign Aid it is nothing compared to what it once was. Compared to other modern nations the amount we give compared to our GNI put us at the lower end of the pack. And when you look at who we give to and how much, their seems to be little correlation. Most of the nations that rate us the highest get nothing and some of those who get the most do not rate us very high. Of course foreign aid is more about getting deals for US companies than its about popular opinion.

When I vote I don't worry about what people in other countries think. I only worry about what is good for America. I don't see this as relevant to me or my vote.

I don't give a crap what other countries think and I vote America interest first.

I can certainly understand why all those who signed on to agenda 21/30 would rather have NWO people in office than someone who will chart their own course.

The people of the U.K. threw a big snot ball into the NWO people and the E.U. I just hope America does too. The course that America/NATO is on with all the endless wars is certainly something I would like done away with before I go to my grave..."for the children of the world"!

The rest of the world does not have a political agenda when they look at such things. They are not a part of GOP or DNC dogma so look at these things without political prejudices. You can vote for who you like but, you should also be aware that Trumps reputation around the world means he will never be able negotiate anything. And that if the US tries any of the stupid trade stuff he suggests that it will be the US VS the World and as the second largest exporter on Earth that would be a disaster for the nations economy. And that the enemies of the US will be able to make huge advances across the world. I am sure we would all love to see a Chinese naval base in Mexico. But hey, denial is not a river in Egypt.

There are far more things going on with these numbers than the OP wants to acknowledge.

Listen OP I agree that the Bush administration really screwed up on multiple levels. But ignoring the facts that the Obama administration has probably created more anti-American animosity with untold drone strikes and less middle eastern confidence by kowtowing to Saudi royalty is disingenuous to anyone reading this. Do give us readers some credit here if we all don't jump on board with Obama being this amazing president.

I have yet to see real economic recovery just a bunch of mini recessions and recoveries over 8 years that give the appearance of some sort of recovery. Sure he stopped the US torture program, now we just drone strike entire families with no due process whatsoever.

How is any of this better than the previous administration?
Even better yet how is any of this deserving of a pulitzer?!?!

And what's wrong with a Chinese naval base in Mexico. If they want to project power like we do and they can afford to maintain such a remote base more power to them. It's not our place to tell other countries what they can and can't do. We just need to mind our own business and take care of America first. A strong America with a strong military will deter most state actors.

As for the rest of it, why should America's voters care? Trump has been open in stating that the US' place is NOT to babysit the world. Considering that, he's running as the leader of the United States, not the world. To pay lip service to the opinions of the world, with their competing markets, competing values, and competing for resources, strikes me as a self defeating practice. I can honestly say I don't give a flip whether Spain approves of the POTUS, similarly to the way I don't give a flip what California thinks about Alaska's elected representatives.

Wasn't it in America that the Vietnam conflict became the most shocking loss of human life on both sides because stupid politicians thought that Vietnam being communist would create a domino effect and that Vietnam and China would join forces when even someone with a very low education in such things would know that those two countries were intrinsically opposed at an ideological level?
