Saw this on reddit today:

GOP chairman: Kids are ‘brainwashed’ on climate change

The fact that it's currently (by a landslide) the top post on r/nottheonion says it all really.

Inhofe is a notorious climate denier/corporate brown-nose for the fossilfueligarchy. Here he is for example hilariously defying the "argument" that oil and gas even cause any pollution, at all:

Meanwhile his top campaign contributions come from where else:

Source

^ (But god forbid some self-proclaimed skeptic connect these particular dots together, especially when pontificating about how "politicized" the science is lol)

...
The good news: his grandkids are at least smart enough to see through the BS -

“My own granddaughter came home one day and said … ‘Popi, why is it you don’t understand global warming?’

Probably because kids aren't as preoccupied with political tribalism, or ego, as they are with just basic science

To which Inhofe has of course decided -

I did some checking, and Eric, the stuff that they teach our kids nowadays, they are brainwashed — you have to un-brainwash them when they get out,” Inhofe said.

Heheh makes sense. This global warming thing is such a huge conspiracy, it's got all of the world's climate scientists in cahoots, and all of our kids hopelessly brainwashed - by simple, repeatable, elementary school experiments.

Meanwhile, cronies like Inhofe have no hidden agenda. Neither do the lobbyists and political hacks that make up the vast, vast majority of the contrarian camp, and neither do the fake blogs and websites that brainwash every sock puppet skeptic who repeats their memes on places like ATS ad nauseum. No conspiracy here at all - it's all just a massive hoax invented by Al Gore a century before Al Gore was actually born.

At least there's hope for the next generation. Top comment on reddit:

Too bad about the mess they will inherit from this one though.

And we are going to get people who agree with him here. We are going to get the claims of it being a religion and that it is all based on lies and blind faith.

Oh and how science has been wrong before so maybe they are just wrong now!

Nope,

I am a "Carbon Credit Scam" denier.

When you only have a multi-trillion a year money scam as a solution (to any problem they can use to implement it) then I become skeptical.

I like how you're posting a video from the Story of Stuff project - which is funded by "evil" George Soros / Tides foundation - as your go-to argument against climate change action.

The point of the OP was to use the fact that even kids get this, to highlight how completely backwards climate conspiracy theorists have the actual conspiracy.

So in defiance you post a video, funded by George Soros, attacking Cap and Trade as proof of what - that climate action is a big Liberal conspiracy to get the tax monies?

The Story of Stuff project makes a lot of great videos for kids explaining how Crapitalism is screwing them over:

So yes, even kids get it, but clearly certain adults - particularly those consumed by self-contradicting political rhetoric - can't see the forest for the trees. Thanks for posting.

Correct.

The Carbon Credit Scam is the goal. Plain and simple. Undeniable fact.

You are looking for a political argument instead of addressing the blatant corruption and cronyism to implement the largest tax scam in history which will do nothing but make "the right people" very rich at our expense.

Which is why George Soros funded a video denouncing it. Which is why most governments are against it in place of a simple carbon tax.

Again - makes perfect sense, bravo!

edit: nvm, based on your own edit above it seems your words are just more empty fear-mongering from yet another denier who doesn't understand the difference between cap and trade and a carbon tax, but is here to explain to everyone what a big scam it all is

Same ol same ole..

Climate Change is irrelevant

mass consumerism/consumption is the problem...coupled with corporations that dont give a squat about the environment......but no one wants to go there..

So....lets argue some more about climate change...and raise taxes...

On the contrary - infolurker just linked to a great series of videos above explaining all of this (even though he/she doesn't understand what they even posted).

Meanwhile climate change factors into that equation intimately - which is exactly why it's painted as a hoax by establishment shills like Inhofe.

there is no doubt , they are being Indoctrinated , through fear mostly...and will ultimately accept the "solution" of the carbon credit tax scam

Elementary Students Indoctrinated About Global Warming

Children are extremely gullible. They will accept whatever their teachers convey to them. Consider the polar bear ruse. Most likely these 4th graders fell prey to the polar bear ruse in an earlier grade when global warming was first introduced. Images of periled polar bears (bears can swim!) sinking into arctic seas because of melting polar ice caps have become an iconic symbol

School children being indoctrinated into new Green religion

The authors review in detail the climate change teaching materials currently used in British schools, with disturbing results. There is ample evidence of unscientific statements, manipulated graphs, and activist materials used in class and even found in textbooks.

Meanwhile the gas and oil folks are making actual trillions denying all this. Crazy how that trail of money gets ignored for your hypothetical trail of money...

Oh and are you saying that you do think climate change is an issue you just don't agree with the cap and trade solution?

Of course climate changes, always has always will.
Their solutions to solving the "crisis" are moving all the dirty industries to China and India while destroying the manufacturing base of the United States. By declaring coal as "dirty" and shutting down coal fired power plants utilities can charge more and guess what else? - They sell more gas and oil to fill the gap left by DIRTY COAL yet brand new coal fired plants in Asia have ZERO emission standards to meet.

How is moving the source of pollution from one side of the planet to another going to solve anything?

Is it the gov and it's policies against climate change forcing corps to move? Or is it the corps that decide to move because it is cheaper to do so in Asia?

It amazes me how hard it is for the climate change denial group to see that for all their claims about the left politicizing climate science, THEY were the ones who politicized it first by deciding it wasn't real and just a liberal conspiracy. Now that the facts are in, they look even more stupid when they continue to deny it is happening.

Lol thanks. I believe Inhofe's balloon theory is being politicized so Liberals can implement a Helium Credit Scam.

Yep, that's it - I'd like, just once, for some climate conspiracy theorist to come up with a coherent, consistent explanation of how this supposed conspiracy even works. Instead it never fails - we get nothin' but hypocritical right wing word salad about taxes and government that completely contradicts itself.

I don't bother with this too much anymore because, honestly - when you have someone telling you it's a Liberal conspiracy, and then backing it up by linking to a Tides foundation video on why cap and trade sucks...what else can you do?

It's like someone saying you should vote for Trump, and then linking to one of those videos where he just talks about how great Hillary is.

Who's "they" and how do you know these are their solutions?

The "they" I know are focused on overhauling our antiquated energy infrastructure with renewables and efficiency strategies that create jobs and spur economic growth.

The problem is the people themselves are the ones who reap the most benefits from this system in the end, instead of a handful of rich old white guys who prefer to control our finite resources. Follow the actual money instead of the rhetoric.

Lol. That's the problem really. The issue is so obfuscated by the right that even the people on the fence aren't sure how to wade in. It's really a terrible thing. And to make matters crazier, if you just actually LISTEN to what the right says and follow the money, you'd find out who the REAL scientists on the take are (hint: they aren't the ones believing in climate change), but since that disagrees with the narrative no conspiracy theorist has the gonads to actually follow through on their rhetoric.
