Melania Trump Appears to Plagiarize Michelle Obama in Convention Speech

Did Melania have a speechwriter after all? Did she simply rewrite Michelle Obama's speech? According to some sources, the Trump campaign is trying to highlight her similarities to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, but showing up with a copycat speech is not something any of the First Ladies ever did.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Melania Trump appears to have lifted a chunk of her Republican National Convention speech from First Lady Michelle Obama's speech at the 2008 Democratic convention.

It's unclear exactly what was behind the close similarities between the two speeches, but Melania said on the TODAY Show that she wrote the speech largely on her own.

"I read once over it, and that's all. Because I wrote it…with as little help as possible," she told host Matt Lauer, when asked if she had practiced the speech.

There've been a lot of blunders lately, from the "Trump Pence" logo to the lawsuits and Twitter battles. Is one or more of their advisors very actively working against them and positioning them to fail, or are they simply clueless nouveau-riche who won't accept advice from others?

Do you think Melania actually wrote that speech or do you suppose it was given to her by a professional speech writer? What about Michelle? Do you think she wrote her speech herself?
