A good question. Thank you.

After all these decades, I feel some confidence that I may answer this simply and succinctly.

There is a premise which must first be accepted as true before accepting a course toward the stated goal. That premise is that personal-self-aware human immortality is either an inherent human trait or a trait that may be acquired by humans from some source, such as a deity, at some future time.

This premise is not one which I believe either mentally or physically or even in my heart (emotionally, I suppose).

Therefore a savior from death to life seems quite fantastical to me; a pure fantasy with no basis in reality.

That's it in a nutshell.
