I honestly don't know. I don't recall ever being so close to a situation like this. I live in a nice neighborhood but there are fair amount of "minorities". Everyone is pretty cool though and I've never had any problems.

Weird situation this close to home. My best friend use to live right across the street from the big building with green neon thats all over the news. We use to party all up and down those streets so I know the area well. It was never really a "good" part of town... you would routinely get hit up for money by moderately creepy fellows.

Saw a meth head having a rather epic battle with a parking meter in the middle of the night one time...

DPD Chief Brown is saying there's still a suspect exchanging gunfire with police at a parking garage. Has been shooting for the past 45 minutes. Chief says suspect says "End is coming soon" and the suspect is saying there are still bombs laying around.

Uhhhh anyone else listening to this???? Stand off. Bombs planted. Shots still being exchanged. And negotiations ?

So apparently the suspects HAVEN'T been arrested? Cops are negotiating now with one guy!

The two guys caught in traffic might be innocent.

Suspect talking about bombs scattered downtown.

These shooters are well trained and were employing tactics typically seen in disciplined urban combat.

So it's confirmed there's still an active shooter. What the hell... This is crazy. I can imagine everyone is treading on eggshells right now.
