Islam is a dichotomy. I understand the need to show this video for what it's worth. There are some very very nice Muslims out there who wish for nothing more than to unify humanity under an all inclusive umbrella of love and peace.

And then there's this...


There are two faces of Islam and Islam's worst enemy is itself. There's the good peaceful Meccan verses and there's the bad violent Medina verses. Mind you, all the peaceful verses are meant to be for Muslims only. It watered down over the years once US got involved with Saudi Arabia in the 30's. But these people in the video and like many Muslims, probably haven't read the Quran, don't know about all the abrogation, or pick the verses that suit their American life. To middle east orthodox Muslims, these people are kaffurs. The Hypocrites. And Allah has plenty to say about kaffurs, hypocrites and infidels. About 57% of the Quran is about them. 40% about Muhammad, and 3% about the religion.

While it's nice to see these particular Muslims handling this the way they do, I don't feel they can represent Islam as a whole. There's just way too much conflict from within.

That about sums up the attitude and willingness to make sense (use logical arguments or be reasonable) by the woman in the video (up till that point at least).

Sad and funny (because it's so extremely expressed in that phrase, so in your face) at the same time.

5:32 is a perfect doctrine to justify genocide from my point of view. Create your own definition of corruption and kill whoever do not measure up to your view. Muhammad used it to slaughter Jews and whitewash the golden rule transgression.

You will notice it is 80% or so less violent than the Bible.

Difference is that Christians had the reformation and majority do not care that much about the insane violence in the bible and do not need the whole bible to be true. When ideas like equality and golden rule is used it trumps bible verses.

If Muslim did not push for change to Political Islam and sharia then there would not have been any trouble with Islam co existing in western society.

If they where Non dualistic (no us vs them doctrines) Sufi:s like Rumi then they would have been a blessing on any land/society.
