Jetee remembered the horrible heat - felt herself dying as the flames around her grew hotter.

And just before the end as she screamed out to a god she had no belief in - She was relieved to find herself in a strange room surrounded by beings that looked like the trolls of her mythology - the mythology of her people - You see Jetee was indeed a witch, as was her mother and her mother's mother.
- they were all witches - Healers and lovers of the world they lived in.

So when the priest came to visit her and she saw the deep and empty loneliness inside his being, she smiled - and when his eyes lit up, probably for the first time in his empty life - she continued - soon they made love - and the priest left with a happy smile on his face.

But his religionn did not allow for this - happiness belongs only to god - never to Man.

And soon the priests of the Inquisition - that great horror of Christianity - that makes you think twice befoe condemning the new horrors generated by
some Muslims - came to visit - and she was arrested on suspicion of Witchcraft.

They tortuerd her and did horrible things in the name or their god - And when she could stand it no more and confessed - they sentenced her to death
by burning.

But the beings that snactched her from death - The alien race of observers - knew they could redeem the horrors of a decadent species.
- They liked Jetee and her people - And before letting her sleep inside the collective network told her a story - Told her she would be reborn
- would return to the people she loved in a future world - Told her she was not dead - and would be reborn soon - then told her to sleep.

Well you forgot the part were they died in the millions, got their history and culture erased, had to flee each and everyday for hundreds of years..

This is a list of people executed for witchcraft, many of whom were executed during organised witch-hunts, particularly from the 15th–18th centuries. Large numbers of people were prosecuted for witchcraft in Europe between 1560 and 1630.[1] Until around 1420, witchcraft-related prosecutions in Europe centred on maleficium, the concept of using supernatural powers specifically to harm others. Cases came about from accusations of the use of ritual magic to damage rivals.[1] Up until the early 15th century, there was little association of witchcraft with Satan.[2] From that time organised witch-hunts increased, as did individual accusations of sorcery. The nature of the charges brought changed as more cases were linked to diabolism. The myth of the witch had a strong cultural presence in 17th century New England and, as in Europe, witchcraft was strongly associated with devil-worship.[3] About eighty people were accused of practicing witchcraft in a witch-hunt that lasted throughout New England from 1648-1663. Thirteen women and two men were executed.[4] The Salem witch trials followed in 1692–93, culminating in the executions of 20 people. 5 others died in jail.
