Fun with books.
In a house on the corner of Daisy St
Lived an old Sufi mystic and we'd often meet
Just to chat about all of that old Sufi stuff
That no one can ever know of enough
Oh it wasn't one sided, I'd take my turn
I talked about Gurdjieff, Nietche and Jung
I spoke of my fondness for old Robert Graves
He recited a poem, I was truly amazed
He said did you know that you have a light
I saw it inside you that very first night
He reached in his pocket and pulled out a book
This is called Lo Qalam and this is our truth
So I tucked myself in with that old Lo Qalam
And it really was quite a spiritual jam
With blue lights and angels, and devils and jinn
And layers of self like an onion skin
The Sufi once spoke of a dream that he'd had
A Goddess had poured liquid gold in a glass
A beatific vision, a herald of change
That was the day his enlightenment came
