I see it as being more sinister and calculated.

I see it as not being "allowed" to hear the truth, as opposed to not being able to "handle" the truth. This is social engineering. "Handle" is a verb in this context, and I believe this government is using social engineering to make people believe 'they' are the only ones allowed to "handle" anything. Therefore, they manipulate the truth so there's nothing left for people to 'handle'.

My suspicion is this is exactly what will wind up happening in some form. I don't think this PC gag order on the actual transcripts will last for long.

The truly disturbing part in all this is the fact that the AG came right out and said it! To me, this shows just how far past the point of no return we are as a country. They're not hiding it, they're coming right out and saying it in the light of day...'we're going to manipulate the facts, and YOU can't do a damn thing about it!'

This should be truly terrifying to any citizen of this country, regardless of which side of the aisle you sit on!

Agreed. When I see our government literally editing reality- changing the details and the truth- as it happens, and telling us they're doing it, I can't describe my amazement. What happened to honest reporting of the news?? The message from this administration seems very clear. Mass deception is the new normal, and we should be okay with that. We'll only be spoon-fed the versions of events that will help us to behave in the proper way, and have the proper opinions, to advance a chosen agenda.

Mateen had been investigated 3 times by the FBI and released every time.
Disneyland security reported Mateen to the FBI
Even a gun store he visited called the FBI or DHS to report the man.
A fellow employee of G4S quit due to threats and stalking by Mateen which was reported to his superiors.
"See something, say something' appears to me to be the most singularly useless program yet invented.
Nobody gets off after all those alerts unless someone high up in government wants this guy on the loose.
Want something to blame?
Don't blame guns.

"Something strange is going on like a play or a staged event." - Delete.

"Why are the authorities allowing this to continue uninterrupted for 3 hours!?" - Delete.

You sir, are correct. But there is apparently another enemy...at least of the people. An enemy that breaks our laws and doesn't give it a second thought. An enemy that lies to the people and (in this case) decides to edit out important information. The last time they did that they were caught and caught in a lie to cover it up. This time they are telling us they are editing it so they can't be caught with their pants down.

While I have long suspected, and previously supported the right strongly in defense against this enemy...times and experience has changed my view. The government of the United States is the greatest enemy of the people of the United States. It is the biggest reason for our economic problems, our social problems, or foreign problems and our morality problems. I am patiently waiting for someone, some group to stand and begin fixing this problem. Maybe that involves Trump...maybe not. But when they appear, I will be there to provide any support possible.

Anything short of the truth and the whole truth is worthless. By stating they are editing the transcript, they are covering their asses so they can remove information they don't want the people to know. They have done it before and have been caught doing it and then lying about it. We are adults and this is our country. We want to hear every single unedited word so we know exactly what we are up against.

We don't need some wanna-be-president changing the truth to his PC, watered down lie. We have had enough of that and this administration of liars.

It's not that you've completely missed the point which is so surprising; it's by how FAR you missed it which is so stunning!

This isn't about helping terrorists! This is about selective censorship by government. I want the entire World to hear what evil these terrorists perpetrate! I want the entire civilized World to hear that these heinous acts are the acts of ISLAMIC TERRORISTS. I want people to see this for what it is...ISLAMIC TERRORISM. No I just don't trust the government to sanitize information that is available in other murder cases with a simple FOIA request.
That is kind of the entire point of the FOIA. Lynch went on television to IMO redefine the FOIA. She does not get to do this.
