I'm not exactly sure what point you are trying to make.
ANYONE that goes into a club, restaurant, train station, movie theater, school, public place with the intent to kill a bunch of people is a friggen
nut. (Actually nut is not a harsh enough term but I'll go with it for now).
That being said, in an effort to protect the rest of us non-nuts we all have to understand what we are dealing with and we have to connect the dots
(when dots are available).
The guy that dressed up like The Joker and shot up a bunch of people in a movie theatre is no different than that son of a b-tch that shot up the club
in Orlando. They are equally as evil (except apparently the Orlando bastard was much better prepared to cause more carnage than the joker).
That being said, if there were multiple shootings perpetrated by people dressed like the Joker and after a while it became apparent that they were all
members of local chapters of "The Temple of the Joker".... looking into that commonality would be warranted.
In the partially-hypothetical scenario where multiple abortion clinics are bombed and people killed and the perpetrators claim outright that they did
these acts in the name of Jesus Christ... looking into the Churches they attend would be warranted.
As a Sunday Mass attending Catholic not only would I hope that people would look into my parish if there was a wolf in our midst but I would actively
help the authorities.
All of that being said.... there are "one off" mass killers. I remember vividly the guy that shot up the Long Island railroad about twenty years ago.
He wasn't connected or "inspired" by anyone. He was a nut. I'm not sure if anyone remembers the guy (about two years after 9-11) that flew his
small airplane into an IRS building. After his manifesto became public it was clear that this was a guy that "snapped" (and I have to admit that
while this guy was a monster his actions were a result of the "perceived" injustices he was dealt by the IRS).
At the present (and I hope brief) point in time in history, you have a group of SELF PROCLAIMED Muslim Terrorists attacking the West. They literally
go out of their way to say they are doing it FOR ISLAM.
It is NOT bigoted to look into areas where crazy people come from. If killers come from "The Temple of the Joker" I expect law enforcement to
investigate the "Temple of the Joker." If killers are coming from off-shoots of Christianity, I expect law enforcement to investigate those churches.
If people are running around out there killing people (and raping women in Europe) and claiming it is for Allah.... then you have to follow the dots.
There is no excuse for blowing people up or blowing people away.
The fact that there are SO many people out there that refuse (REFUSE) to understand that there is a semi-organized group out there that literally
wants to kill them, and their children, and their friends.... and claim that there is no common denominator..... I simply don't know what to say
because I know there is no way I can convince them to take off the rose-colored glasses.
