While I agree with Trump on some things, that's not enough to negate one very, very dangerous thing for which he says he stands and wants to do, which is pretty much, in many aspects, throw the Constitution out the window. This includes the assault on the First Amendment and the policies of strict intolerant exclusivity against people who he (and many others) perceive as different, who have different beliefs, or come from other countries.

Trump is dangerous to the foundations of freedom upon which this country was founded.

I mean that sounds nice. It really does. And I wish I lived in a world where it really worked like that. Maybe that's how the world worked before I was born, but it simply doesn't function that way today. The system is rigged. The house always wins. People keep looking at their iPhones and eating Cheetohs (TM). People don't care. They need something to MAKE them care.

A civil war would probably do that quite nicely. People always respond well to needless bloodshed. It's just one of those cold, horrible truths about humanity. We don't realize how stupid we've been until AFTER we've murdered a whole bunch of people for no good reason.

So if he did that, wouldn't it help to unite America against him? And wouldn't uniting America be a good thing?

And if America failed to unite against him, do we really deserve the rights afforded to us by the constitution if we're not willing to fight to protect them?

At the state level, my guess is Rick Perry; he probably needed the $$$$$ to balance the state budget during a shortfall year. He regretted it from what I understand and that's when he realized he didn't want to sign on to similar type programs so he opted out of the ACA health care exchange idea. He opted out of another type program for the same reason.

The "States" are learning the hard way..........don't take candy from the crook.

All we have to do is look around to see how true your words are.

It is not just the protestors or the terrorist. A brief stroll about ATS will show you just how violent and vicious we are in spirit, even if that person claims they would never hurt a fly.

We have been successfully divided. Everyone is ready to fight and kill for what is right. The only problem is that your right has to match their right, or else you are wrong, and should be converted or eliminated.

The rights and wrongs of a society changes with the wind, and those that are in power. The right we kill for today, may be the wrong that gets us killed tomorrow.

You're essentially implying destroying the American way of life just to unite people. No. Once that is gone it would likely be very hard to put back or replace, which is why preserving it is so very important: the MOST important thing.

That's seriously your proposal? To possibly destroy the foundations and principles upon which this nation was founded just to unite against Trump, or to prove a point? How about we, um, unite BEFORE the most sacred of documents that upholds our way of life is completely destroyed?

A majority of the people is the US do not deserve that. They simply want to live and carry on with their lives; to intentionally disrupt or destroy that is not fair to them just because some people want to see it "burned down."
