I'll stand up to it.
I don't care if it pisses off a fellow conservative or not. Gay people are not a threat to anyone. Islamic Jihadists are a threat even to themselves.
The disgusting attitude people take with regard to certain groups of people in this country tells me we have a very long way to go as a nation.
I don't believe in "tolerance". To tolerate something means doing something you don't wanna do or belief in. What we need is inclusiveness and acceptance.
There are very few groups in this country as discriminated against as gay people. We would do well, as conservatives, to include them in the the push for greater constitutional liberties.
I read hateful people push them away. They always talk about how gun rights protect the most vulnerable among us, but they then celebrate the death of those vulnerable people who desperately need a voice on both sides of the isle.

Talk about gun control, talk about Islamic jihad, talk about violence in general...I just can't take wanton hatred like this. It's a shame people like this play for the gun rights team.
Then the president should have kept his mouth shut about how 'easy' it is for people to get them.

I'd be ok with sending a couple of Brigade Combat teams in to lay some hate on those pricks.
I wonder how many ISIS followers have to attack us until we get serious.

Strange, I seem to recall when 89 people at the Paris Bataclan theatre were gunned down that many Americans on here were writing things like "This only happened in Europe because they aren't allowed any guns" (which isn't actually true). Also, like some random guy with a gun would have been able to shoot back like in a cowboy movie.
Well. It looks like it has happened in America. The guy actually started his rampage by shooting a guy with a gun. And it looks like the death toll could very well rise to similar levels of those in Paris. Armed citizens who legally carry guns are only useful if they actually know how to use it. Most aren't.
The guy might have had legal access to an assault type rifle, but the terrorists in Paris certainly didn't get their guns legally. So this argument can go both ways.

OK, I understand that this was a gay bar, but am I to understand that the only victims were gays? Because everything I see is acting as if that is the case.
It's logical to presume the majority of people in a gay bar are gay, and by extension the majority of victims.
