If someone is stupid enough to do that, they don't deserve sympathy.
Oh? I was going to say sociopath but,
As for the guilt side, some murderers and serial killers don't feel compassion, but can appear to through acting.
Hmm.
Looking at your posts in this thread makes me wonder why a person would go out of his way to turn someone's unfortunate death into some sort of gleeful blame game almost as if it gives you pleasure to know that this stupid divergent died.

It's not about intelligence, per say. It's about doing something stupid.
You wouldn't drink a bottle of bleach. You wouldn't put a knife into a plug socket. You wouldn't jump off the Empire State Building to check if gravity worked.
Warning labels, signs and barriers are there for reasons. Ignore them and you have to expect something to happen.
Maybe it's time we removed warning labels and barriers and let nature take its course?
Believe it or not, someone has survived a fall from the observation deck of the Empire State Building lol.

But most people wouldn't go THAT far. Standing next to or over something dangerous is completely different to jumping from a building so high that there is only one outcome.
Yep. I agree. Also, I've done that myself.
I have laid on my stomach looking over a cliff edge to see the view out of curiosity. It was amazing yet if I fell or the edge collapsed, I would have been an idiot and deserved what happened, yet I took a calculated risk that paid off.
Yet there are people that take the risk for a "buzz".
Drinking a bottle of bleach is not.
