I did not miss your point.

We're talking about 7 year olds, not high school.

The mother is giving the kid scriptures. He is not thinking for himself.

You'd think the same if the kids mom was giving him Wiccan spells to hand out?

I don't care if we were talking about 4 years old's. The four year old's at my church understand that Jesus is a real person. Bring on the Wiccan or the Islam scriptures or the hoo doo or voo doo. It does not matter if they hand out paper notes of spells.....lol they can if they want. They are already teaching things that are wrong even by the teachers and you expect me to worry about little kids and petty magic cards? It would not bother me if the other kids did this to my kids because my kids will be "PREPARED" by me. Through me they will know not to believe in 'spells' and by me they will know to respect other peoples beliefs.

But I won't tolerated taking away the freedoms of my child to speak and express himself during times of social encounters that have nothing to do with school "EDUCATION" or actual school "WORK". Like lunch or play ground time. Quit trying to make them robots and take away who they are!

There is zero proof of mystical Jesus. It is a belief. There is proof of a real man, a political dissident, who may be the man the myth is built on.

Your kids can believe whatever you choose for them to believe.

But if this kid had been handing out Wiccan spells, it would be all over the news with Christians in an uproar.

Christians would publicly condemn a kid handing out Wiccan spells to their school kids. They would not support it.

My point remains Jesus is "real" and he was crucified....period. Oh please there would be no up roar from me and I am a Christian. Wha......you don't think that I know that the kids use wedgie boards at the age of seven????? That is why it is called "preparing" your child. Your points have all been refuted.

You can believe whatever you want.

What's a Wedgie Board?

I'm on third generation of "preparing" your child, so I've been there and done that multiple times.

Doesn't change the fact that the news and actions would be different if this kid was handing out Wiccan spells.

Doesn't matter I support freedom of speech/expression. Wiccan faith spell or a Muslim praying to Allah during lunch time or sharing a Quran verse. This does not matter to me. I will prepare my child to respect them but also to not get involved with what 'they do.' But at the same time I will teach them not to 'hate them' and treat them as they would like to be treated. You are attacking the wrong thing and not the root of the cause. Which is hatred. And you to quit being a hater

Oh yeah a wedgie board or ouija board(however you spell it) is witch craft/spells.

No a Quija board is not witch craft/spells. It's just a board.

I am not attacking anything.

Love those that claim "hater" when you say stuff they don't like.

It is a fact that if this kid was handing out Wiccan Spells, Christians would be all over it.

Seen the Angel Boards?

There just boards.

Its what you do to call spirits, not the board.

Read through the article and the responses, here is the take on it:

I would say that all of the facts are not presented in this case and there is more to the story than meets the eye.

This is what we know according to the article: In a school a young child is sent, with a lunch. In said lunch is a bible verse, and the child shares with said friends. Friends want their own and so child’s mother makes extra. Child is told several times not to, and still does such. Law enforcement are gotten involved and now the Liberty counsel is getting involved.

For starters, the case is lost by the parents, even before it gets to court, unless a new legal precedent can be brought up in court to overturn several prior court cases. Unlike most public places a public elementary school is not a free speech zone, but free speech can be curtailed by the school district as has been ruled by the US Supreme court in several court cases. (Tinker V. Des Moines, Bethel School District V. Fraser, Hazelwood V. Kuhlmeier, Morse V. Frederick)
So this is going to go to the courts, and lose when the precedents are brought up, and hopefully the family will take the hint and not appeal the decision, cause then it can get very costly the further it goes up. Colorado law dictates, that the side that loses, bears the brunt of the legal fees and court costs.

The schools are bound by state laws, unable to act on their own, without law enforcement. If the school touches a child or tries to discipline or even stop a student, then there is a good chance that they would lose a legal case, and thus many schools tend to turn to law enforcement to punish or restrain or stop a particular action. So the school is covered there.

Of course it does... freedom of speech, religious freedom, etc.. means EXACTLY that. You can go around and speak your mind and others are free to choose whether to believe it or not...

No comment, I dont believe in mumbo jumbo and never commented on your discussion with another member about these games.

Civil Rights is not a belief system. Transgender is not a belief system.

I just disagree with that quote.

Transgender is a belief system, not a biological fact. Gender(desired) is as maintained in other similar threads, not the same as Sex(birth).

Civil Rights as great as it is, is in fact a belief system. Other people in other parts of the world disagree with it and dont practice it. Therefore it is a belief, as are all "rights" because Rights are relative, and put into law. Laws are belief systems.

You might try looking in places that provide real and current factual information.

Because Gender Dysphoria is real - - - and not a choice.

You make it sound like an ailment.

Something that goes against your nature is a psychological aberration IMHO, but we've done this in other threads. I digress.

I'm sure I affect your opinions on this as much as you do mine; not at all.

Good luck though
