Female Ghostbusters, now a female presidential candidate. We have certainly progressed.

Hey what about old Maggie?

She was doing it for the sisters a long time ago!

But seriously, Australia votied in a woman prime minister a few years ago now, for no other reason it seems, than because she was a woman, and that was a novelty...and a disaster.

Don't make the same mistake...oh you did already with Obama.

What's next? A transvestite Mexican presidential candidate?

Thank the good Lord she does not follow after her husband.

Coincidence that both are piles of crap? I think not.

False hope. The first black president was not progress. The first female president may not be either. If you look at the type of people being re-elected, you should realize that America is headed the wrong direction and not remotely progressing at all. Since 1971 America's state of affairs has been only going in reverse. We are reverting to 2nd world status. Hopefully we won't then go full socialism like Venezuela and revert to 3rd world. What I hope to see in my lifetime is for the regression to dramatically slow down. After that we can start to think about progress.

The only possible political progression is removing as many politics as possible from our lives. Clinton will do nothing for that and despite the millions of pages of laws, she needs more. The Democrats want Venezuela and Greece policies but don't expect to end up like either one. Huh.

I can comfortably say that anyone who thinks more than 1,000 pages of laws are needed has something wrong with them. A law people don't have the opportunity to actually know is a particularly bad joke. There is no room in such a book for any of the laws Clinton supported as a politician.

Nobody seems to care what policies ACTUALLY WORK when they either vote or run for office or are in office. They do have a thing called "science" which can be applied to a poorly named thing called "social science". Like for example, Portugal implemented drug policies that lead to a 50% or more drop in drug overdoses. But if you think more than 1 in 10 US political science college grads (or politicians and voters in general for that matter) know of that or seem to care, you'd be wrong. So until we have a point where science is a part of political science, WE ARE DOOMED.

Oh boy. Are you serious?

Because I am a female. If I had a daughter, I would NEVER use Hillary as an example of what we should strive for. EVER. There are plenty of other women, in our country and in many, many others, that can be held to example, but to use her?

I would be ashamed if my daughter grew up to be like her.

Hillary Clinton is a cold-blooded mass murderer....she as the 1st Lady used her power to authorise a CIA diected use of American Military Special Forces...AGAINST INNOCENT US CITIZENS....and she did this BECAUSE 3 of Bills Secret Service Bodyguards needed to be "silenced" ...sooooo...she "arranged for their 86'ing....likely the CIA knew what she/Bodyguards knew and advised her to use the Waco incident as a COVERSTORY to enable them to send in and execute the 3 SS Bodyguards she needed 86ed to protect her lifestyle and ambitions......these 3 men were executed by US Military Special Forces Snipers while on the roof of the complex....the cover-story was to be that they were shot by Davidians from inside the Compound.

Once Hillary colluded with the CIA and gave the greenlight....the CIA under Presindential pretenses TOOK OVER CONTROL AND COMMAND of the entire WACO SITUATION.....Hillary unleashed the Hounds on innocent people including over 70 children from infants up.These people were EXECUTED BY SPECIAL FORCES BEFORE THE FIRES WERE "ACCIDENTALLY"[SOP cover for burning innocents to death before due process is used] STARTED BY SOLDIERS USING "TEAR GAS".

Hillary in no ways represents American Women....they are loyal patriotic maternal and protective....nothing like Hillary. Those childrn were executed by the CIA so they would have "one over" Hillary and Bill becuse she pulled the pin ....the CIA likely "set up" the entire series of affairs which were likely between CIA Female assets and Bill not regular woman and Bill to set off Hillarys panic buttons.A dual reward was gained by the CIA....they got power over the US President AND executed 3 Secret Service Agents who possibly had damaging info on Bill which Hillary WOULD NOT ALLOW OUT AT ANY COST.

Wow another log for the fire, I had not heard that one before. Do you have links? And Willtell if this creature is to be an inspiration to women everywhere, god help us cause 'This Devil Wears Prada'!

This is the perfect response and made my morning!

As for the op, the Democratic nominee having a vagina is really the least of my concern. Give me a hermaphrodite for all I care, but give me a decent person that can lead the country.

Purely on the face of it, it's great, that two things thins country dealt with racism and women's rights and show this country has progressed.

You got the point of this thread!

Taking what I think about Hillary Clinton as a politician out of the equation. I can see how this is a historic moment. How little girls who know nothing about the politics of Hillary Clinton, can point to this moment and say, if she can do it so can I.

That can be powerful. You don't have to be a fan of Hillary to understand and appreciate that.

And so did you!

Hell, even my husband said this was a historic moment, and we have a pact to not bring up politics with each other!

What can you expect from the right wing, who consistently elect middle aged white men as their nominee. Sure they put up the token woman or brown person but in the end we know who they want as their nominee.

Progress is a term they do not like. Not a fan of Hillary but a woman nominee is progress.

Hillary does suck but Trump is much worse. I am not too sure about that guy, he is either really stupid or deliberately tanking the election by saying the most idiotic and ignorant things possible to alienate a lot of groups in America.

How about you look at the board of directors of the NRA and compare that to the editorial board of Huffington Post and tell me who represents diversity better...

I did say they would have the token woman or brown person but in the end Overall, the NRA board members are 93 percent white and 86 percent men.

Wasn't talking about Trump, not voting for Trump, don't care about Trump. Hillary is a mistake. And she will tarnish any social victory her nomination could EVER represent.

People don’t listen…or read

Their automatons…primitive thinkers...cant ever go outside of the box

Its pretty pitiful

Matrix children…Pavlov

Who here said vote for anyone because there a woman

Where they get that from

I got it wasn't political immediately, but some here do indeed salivate instantaneously but not by their own will.

It is indeed progress as many studies show, when young people can identify with any role model who has attained true power through hard work, open-mindedness, perseverance and fairness, then that sets the wheels in motion.

I don't vote for people because of what's between their legs, I vote based on their platform and values.

Voting for someone because she's a woman would be offensive, and says that we lack the ability to formulate opinions based on relevant issues. Being a woman doesn't impress me. Many of us are born this way. It's no big deal.

Hillary 2016? HELL NO!
