Make threads printable

Sometimes one might like to capture the content of an entire thread such one on computers and heath etc. If it was possible to print the thread either as separate pages or an entire single page, it would make the information easier to collate and read again another time when needed..

I use Opera mini for (Android) and can save pages for offline use when i want to catch-up on it, it would be good to print tho.

You can already print any page you are on, using the option in your computer settings menu.

I just noticed, if you'll turn your attention to the top of this thread, right above your post, there is a line that says:

"share this topic: Facebook ICON; Twitter ICON; Print ICON; Mail ICON; Plus ICON"


If you click on the printer icon, perhaps it would print in a decent format. If this isn't what you're looking for, then excuse me

Really expensive, too.

Remember when? You could record anything, just pop a tape in the VCR and hit "record".

Now you need computers, printers, ink cartridges, paper and a Microsoft class.

I will just quote this so it doesn't go unnoticed. After all if the icon goes unnoticed, who knows what else will right?

I don't see any printer icon between any of those others listed--not anywhere in the top several inches of the screen.

Curious.

Ctrl P works to print but the formatting = a lot of wasted ink

Strange. I have the words "SHARE THIS TOPIC" but no icons after those words. I ctl - a lot and it still did not appear.

Are you using the site on a tablet or mobile? Try the request desktop site if so. If not I am not sure why. I can see it on chrome.

USING AN HP DESKTOP with Win 10 & in ATS black mode

Screen size is about 23"

I just used ctl - to run the content portion down to about 4" wide . . . the icons still did not appear. I then used ctl + to run it up until the central column more than filled the screen. They did not appear then, either.

You could try to change magnification from I imagine 150-175 % see if that helps? I am saying this because for me, as opposed to NerdGodess's post, the print is the first option.

We will get to the root of this!!!



Edit: I see you tried the magnification thing, but it is important to refresh the page for changes to take effect in format/layout sometimes.

Oh I just had another thought. If you are using an ad-block program those icons will not show sometimes. I am not sure if this works the same with altering hostfiles and whitelisting sites though.

Since all content posted belongs to the above network you should not be able to print anything unless you pay for each page just like at the library for copies.

I get the same. I don't run ad blockers, just the browser pop up blocker. Didn't see anything on mobile and while the mobile was in desktop mode.

Just don't click the X. It closed all my open browser winders when I did that. I don't like that. My Keyboard Commando skills rely on my open winders, can't be closing them there tabs n such.

But yeah, on a laptop running windows 10 and the chrome browser, I see the print option. AAAAnd it works, just be sure to disable your printer. Ink doesn't grow on tree's in this economy.

If you don't have the print icon, go to file print page
save as pdf
print.

What does that do with all the sidebar stuff one wants to avoid printing to save ink?

thanks for the replies but I do not have any of the icons near the "share this topic' . Dunno whats going on there. Cant say I ever really have seen them and I run a PC with win 7 and displayed on big LCD screen.

Any ideas?
