We're suppose to discuss a live event at UCI in a week old thread about an event at UCSB?

Oh I agree... hence why all the threads were labeled as different times, dates, and even topics...

If we closed down every thread that was "kinda" the same as another there would be a total of 4 threads here....

It is an interesting thing.
I've never seen mods close down a thread for a current event in favor for a week old thread. Even when the topics were similar.
I hope this was a fluke.
