Ex-Megadeth drummer Nick Menza dies of heart attack on stage

Nick Menza was a great drummer , he had power and feel , his beats were infectious.
Today comes the news Nick has died from a massive heart attack while performing with his band OHM in LA at the frighteningly young age of 51.


RiP Nick , Rockin till the end.

Whilst I'm saddened to hear of another death in the musical fraternity, that's a better way to go.

I'm sure he crammed a number of lifetimes into his own short life.

He died rocking.

In my metaller days, I was Megadeth over Metallica

51 isn't much in the scheme of things and yet he'd lived more of a life than most of us. Groupies, travelling, influence on society and groupies...that's a good life!

Going out on stage is like a warrior dying in battle.

I joked to my husband a few days ago after they said John Berry (Beastie Boys) died that this year was the death of his youth. Not sure I want to mention Menza's passing to him now, I kinda feel like I jinxed his favorites
