OMG, look who's talking!

So what does your locker room of the future look like?

Where would you like your daughter to go to school?

Honestly, if I had a daughter, as far away from the offspring of someone who thinks as you do as possible.

The locker room of the future will have both public and private spaces, with no differences between the two.

Kids can change in public or in private as they wish.

Disgusting. It will be like Sweden or France.

My two girls are going to go to a montesori school. I am far more concerned with the actual state of education than any modesty issues.

My son goes to an international art magnet school. It still sucks because it's public. He was drawing manga at 6 he taught himself from a book. By 7 he won a state art competition. He is 13 now and can do charcoals, paint, sketch, use draing tablets etc. Yet I still have to choose between him doing band or art. In an art school. Instead of giving kids more exposure to art and teaching practical applications for future jobs, it's just a public school with better arts teachers. They shorten classes three times a week not for more art classes but for a "team building class" which is basically study hall.

I am pretty much over public schools as a parent.

I would do anything within my power to send my kids to a private school.

I've been over the public schools for 30 years.

For your son, an idea. Are there any colleges nearby that offer "rising junior or senior" courses? If he's past his sophomore year, he might be able to get into something like that ... to enhance his experience.

I sympathize with your plight.

Seeing that I never made personal swipes at anyone, nor was I against the rights of transgender or cisgender people.
Both should be respected.

But we see how it goes with social justice warriors.
Fascists really.

Yeah, a real workable scenario there ... (children must suddenly decide where to change - good luck with that).

Anyway, I'd welcome you, because I see you're passionate, but not very compassionate yet.
Workable solutions mean you got to look at the whole community and their needs and wants.
It's not all about yourself.
But that will come .
But have another rant ...

Interesting development in the case:

Conservative Lawyer Ted Olson Joins Fight Against North Carolina’s Bathroom Law

“HB2 discriminates against fellow citizens because of who they are,” Olson said in a statement. “This law directly challenges the legitimacy of the identity of transgender persons and then compels them to deny it every time they use a public restroom.”

and ...

Human Rights Campaign President Chad Griffin praised Olson as “one of the nation’s leading conservative legal minds” as he told allies in an email on Wednesday. The group noted that Olson has argued 62 cases at the Supreme Court—and that is likely where this fight over North Carolina bathrooms is heading.

No they don't belong to me, but as a taxpayer public school space partly belongs to me.
And as such, I don't want a man, with all the male attributes, in my daughter's locker room.
Neither would I want a female to access the male locker rooms.

Whatever hanky-panky you (or I) may have had in the past notwithstanding.
A guy will be a guy ...

Or let's just throw everything open - public nudity for all.
No more male and female spaces.

But South Africa is the rape capital of the world, and yes, I'd like especially for girls and women to be safe in their space.
Particularly in an intimate space like a locker room.

I even want transgender people to be safe.
Forcing them into a locker room doesn't sound safe to me.

But hey, I'm the crazy one.
But that's OK, people see through you.

Hey Alex Jones needs a new intern. Maybe you should apply.

Let's just say you had a daughter, born a son. She transitioned and looks, walks and talks female. Would you want her going into the male bathroom?
What if it was you, would you want to be forced to go into the bathroom that does not reflect your gender? How about showering in the wrong bathroom, in public pool and such?

Still feeling so steadfast and righteous?

To the people who are "up in arms" about this, you do realise that this not a new matter, right? There are trans people in the bathrooms right now, you probably share bathrooms with them and don't even realise.
Are they in the news for attacking people? Are they in your schools and locker rooms assaulting your kids?

No.

Some of you will say "boys will be boys" and "men will be men", that's pretty damn vague if you ask me. Under that logic, we should be locking males up from the age of 13 due to the inherent risk you seem to think they pose.

Hormone blockers decimate sex drive. These are not boys doing damage to their endocrine system so they can access your daughters. These kids are under psychological assessment, they are not some horny teen saying they are trans so they can jump in the shower with the opposite sex. (Not that most of the girls are going to put up with that anyway!)

This whole political football is absolutely pathetic and everyone politically involved should be ashamed of themselves. There is an easy solution to this, get the government and lobby groups out of our bathrooms and underpants and consult the mental health and child development professionals. Leave it be unless you know what you are talking about because you are just going to cause unnecessary pain and even cost. Having an opinion does not mean you are qualified to interfere in the lives of other people.

Doesn't the political system have more important things to deal with? Make our bathrooms great again maybe?

No one's messing with anyone's children "Awareness" ... everytime you post such obvious lies you're merely seen for what you are.

Aside from that fact, any mother who thinks that her child is more important than a Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Trans* child can bring it on ... I have a frying pan too (and I know how it use it.)

What else you got? Any thing on topic? Anything to do with the lying article you fronted for in your OP? How about numerous factual corrections that have been demonstrated in this thread?

You're not interested in clarifying or retracting the lies you posted?

That tells me everything I need to know.

Yet another lie:

Here's the accurate representation of what President Obama said:

"I am going to be working with Congress where I can to accomplish this, but I am also going to act on my own if Congress is deadlocked," he said at an education event at the White House on Thursday. "I've got a pen to take executive actions where Congress won't, and I've got a telephone to rally folks around the country on this mission."

NPR - Wielding A Pen And A Phone, Obama Goes It Alone

The context of his comment is the Republican majority Congress shirking its Constitutional duty to legislate and help govern this country.

The President is saying, quite clearly and accurately, that he will use his Constitutional powers and the influence of his Office to get the work of the American people done, even when Congress has forgotten its duties.

Much as the Administration did in the recent letter from Justice and Education to the nation's school systems about equality and protections for all students.

Not to mention Congress actuall y worked instead of just voted down anything thing the other party proposed without even looking at it.

WHat you qouted from The previous poster isnt going to happen legally.

You cannot go into a womans bathroom IF YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY MALE LEGALLY its tresspass. And unless you have the paperwork and medicines to back up your claim you are going to be charged and arrested.

Everyones jumping on this with a knee jerk reaction and a already guilty mentality when its nothing like they imagine. Yes IMAGINE. As to that man beating a 9 year old almost to death HE was not Transgender and was just a male psychopath.

And about Lincoln. The man had alot of nerve saying such a quote because he walked all over the constitution when he went to war with the south. SO dont even go there about how lincoln was a good ole man. HE was scum and got what he deserved. a bullet to his head.

So I don't know about everyone else, but as a teenager, I would have found being the girl's locker room very embarrassing. The last thing I would have been able to do go waving my boy bits around to cause a sensation.

The last thing a transgender person is likely to do is draw attention to their natural genitalia. Its mostly a source of embarrassment for them then anything else.

If you truly are worried about your daughter seeing another boy's penis, maybe you should be more worried about her mobile phone usage than who uses what bathroom?

Preach!

I think that's something that the one's repeating the same thing over and over just don't get ... no Trans* girl wants ANYONE to see their private parts and the trauma that causes.
