They didn't stop chasing it, they ran out of gas (literally if not figuratively).

Next, I want to see a close up of a Hurricane. The guy who survives should be payed 1 Billion dollars for scientific studies.

If everyone zooms in real close, near the end, I think I saw Hillary Clinton on her broomstick.

Great footage!

I live 30 minutes from there. I believe the video was taken by Reed Timmer, professional Storm Chaser and Meteorologist ( I think he had a show on Discovery Channel involving storm chasing.) From what I understand, he has an armored car, that at a push of a button, can anchor his vehicle to the ground! (Off the pavement I assume).

It is incredible how those idiotic people drove past it, tempting
fate the tornado would not cross the road.

Fractals seem to describe weather well, with a massive number of
data points it is possible to compute weather trends. Nature is well
described by fractals. Movement and massing of the air appears nearly
fractal-like.

Using Mandlebrots cool pictures can be drawn in 2-d or 3-d. The
results are flowing, precise and beautiful. A fractal is an iteration of a
coordinate around a point using complex numbers to express both axises.
Many transformations are used to customize the output of the iteration
where the value is added to the prior value and so on.

I still love this old footage of people cowering under an overpass as a tornado passes very close: www.youtube.com...

It's one thing sitting this out in the relative safety of your car, and completely another being there yourself, unprotected.

Excellent video. Huge fan of Reed since storm chasers, his passion for severe weather is infectious.
You can really feel the power of mother nature, these videos are there so people know to take weather seriously.

Under a bridge is one of the worst places to hide. Nothing like being sucked out of a venturi.

Wouldn't a really powerful tornado blow a truck or car off the road like a toy? Even though these tornadoes are incredible, I don't think a human can sit in a vehicle and film an F-4 or higher velocity storm point blank.

Thanks. Now I've been watching tornado vids on YouTube all day.....

Gorgeous shot in this one though. Mind is blown. Brave or foolish, still awesome to see.
