I don't know -- could be real, but it looks undeniably fake to me. With the amount of face mauled off and opened, there is entirely too little blood and almost none on his clothes when in actuality, they would be completely soaked in it. Snow is water, ever seen what happens when you bleed into water or snow? A little blood looks like a LOT more than it really is -- where as in this photo it looks like less than there should be. The photos are also not in a hospital or anything, just laying in the snow -- seems awkward his friend would be like, "HOLD UP, sit up and let me snap a photo real quick!"

I'd classify this in some kind of faux snuff gore porn sort of way unless we get the story corroborated by some doctors.

Hmmm ... extensive facial injury (and I do mean extensive) ... and the victim casually poses for a photo op.

It's also the face. Gotta wonder why the shirt is not completely drenched in blood.
