QuakeSim is a project headed by Andrea Donnellan, a scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, CA. QuakeSim apparently uses things like GPS
and InSAR to measure ground movement from space and create models to help scientists predict earth movements with greater accuracy.

Images are captured from space, using what is essentially an orbiting version of the speed gun state troopers use to clock speeders.
