TTIP risks to health & environment, 'US pressure on EU' revealed in secret docs

Apparently some documents that appear to be from the controversial TTIP (The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership) agreement have surfaced.

Till now (allegedly) the trade talks have been secret.

Environmental group Greenpeace seems to pick through the documents and comes up with some alarming points.

Seems they think many parts of the TTIP are actually negative impacts on the majority of Citizens affected as well as (ironically), the environment in general.

No surprise if true and accurate.

The controversial trade deal between the EU and the US could affect public health, people’s rights, internet privacy and the environment badly, Greenpeace says, citing leaked negotiation texts. The US is pressuring the EU over the deal, a report on the texts alleges.

The 248 pages of classified negotiation papers on The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) were released by Greenpeace Netherlands on Monday.

“This treaty is threatening to have far-reaching implications for the environment and the lives of more than 800 million citizens in the EU and US,” a Greenpeace statement says.

?What's the *REAL* Agenda?

This is not going to go down well. Several decades ago in Scotland, there was a battle between environmental groups and American waste disposal companies like Raychem. These companies were contracted to incinerate waste at high temperatures such that the only waste products were CO2 and other basic molecules.

But management would try and save money by reducing the incineration temperature by reducing the amount of fuel used. Residents would complain of ash, soot and sticky black particles landing on their gardens, cars, washing hanging out to dry and windows, and at night, seeing the chimneys glowing with a different color than usual. The incineration companies accused the residents of making these claims up.

It was only when the environmental groups used laser spectroscopy to determine the temperature and chemical makeup of the waste products, that the lawsuits were successful, and the incineration companies made to conform to the law (some actually closed down and left).

If these talks about this agreement need to be held in secret then there is something to hide that the public would't agree to.

Today most have no faith in their politicians to protect their countries or citizens so all the more need for transparency and if these agreements are as far reaching as is hinted then surely they should be held in the open?

Will this agreement concentrate power into even fewer hands than already? Also if we aren't careful some of the corporations that want to run the world without accountability to anyone ,will give us exactly that kind of world, if we aren't close to it enough already.

Greenpeace of Netherlands published TTIP documents in internet yesterday, i bookmarked the site but have not had time to read them through yet.

The real agenda is for corporations to own governments. When they do, the governments.. and by extension the people face bankruptcy if they stand up to corporations for violating their rights.

We are going to be handing all our rights over the the 1%. When citizens rebel, governments will then be obliged to get them under "control" for their new owner's interests. Well our new owners.

If the EU falls apart it would make it harder for the US to push through sanctions on anyone seen as a threat to American domination of the World. When i say World domination the US is clearly the most powerful country in the World right now but there are threats emerging to their hold over certain Worldwide agendas.

Yes, this definitely feels like the missed first step going downwards on the steep spiral staircase, foothold seems irrecoverable.

It might not be too bad at first, but once the framework is in place, the switch from capitalism to fascism has come one step closer, and it probably won't stop there.
