First I'd like to mention trying to find consistent U.S. Bureau of Census data is a challenge.

Washington State 1990 Census Indian Population was about 151,071

Washington State 2015 Estimated Indian Population is about 80,171

Apparently the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988 has not been a
benefit for Indigenous Peoples in the state of Washington.

Has the Social Darwinism genocide policies against Indigenous
Peoples in the 1800's been replaced by a more subtle eugenics
policy? What's the logical explanation for such a drastic depletion
in the Indian population for the State of Washington?

Maybe they are just moving out of Washington state.

Perhaps they have just ceased to self-identify as Indians, for official purposes. Maybe some rule-change has made it less helpful than it was before.

Maybe they started breeding out of culture leaving offspring to identify with another race? That happens often ya know. Take me for instance, Im 1/4 oompaloompa, 1/4 putz, and half schmuck. Now and days when asked my ethnicity I simply put Hawaiian.

I looked at your data links and could find the 1990 data, but not the 2015 data. And the 1990 data it looked like you had to add it all up by individual tribe. Your other link made no sense to me at all. I suspect you are comparing apples and oranges here, but you need to do a better job of showing the data if you want serious comments.

As it stands no one is going to wade through that stuff attempting to discover what you actually saw. And your comments about a modern day genocide are simply gratuitous. No one will take you seriously if you have that kind of attitude.

It could be that with revenues coming in certain nations changed their laws on blood quantum as to who can enroll into that nation. There was a thing going on a year or two ago that people were being forced off the rolls if they were under a certain level, say 1/8 or so. I think they changed the laws so the money got spread around to fewer members.

What? You haven't heard? All the old-style US Gov''t eugenics and ethnic cleansing has been replaced by a big ol' modern love fest. It's all unicorns and rainbows now.

Sheesh, some people just don't pay attention.

There's something wrong with their estimate.
www.census.gov...
In 2010, the population in the state of Washington was 198,998. The Census is only conducted every 10 years, anything between the decades is either based on extrapolation from the intrusive, yet discretely participated "American Community Survey." Any other "estimates" are probably as accurate as a random number generator.

Wait, I see what's happening here. These people have moved off the rez. That's a good thing. In most cases, it probably means they've become property owners in the cities, suburbs, and countryside.

Last time I passed through the Nisqually reservation while salmon fishing, it was not pleasant. They were having serious issues with the backwater from high tide exceeding the tribe's septic systems, flushing filth back into the river (didn't fish that river!) The amount of litter and just general lack of care I witnessed would have had me moving at the first economically feasible moment, too.

Why on Earth would any of them identify as 'Indian?' Seriously?

I think you're close to the mark. It is
definitely about MONEY, but not money
via gambling, but money & value in the
thrillions of dollars worth of oil and gas on
indian lands.

All one needs to ask is what benefit is
derived from depleting the Indian population
on Indian reservations?

Abuses against Indigenous Peoples will continue
since they do not have full rights of power to
govern themselves 'Sovereignty'.

The 1 Billion Settlement to 41 Indian tribes back
in 2012 is proof positive the Indigenous Peoples
are still being taken advantage of.

The Interior and Treasury Departments had failed
to adequately oversee concessions on Indian lands
from companies that exploit a wide variety of
resources, including minerals, timber, oil and gas,
dating back more than 100 years.

There's no such thing as sovereignty on an Indian
reservation if the Interior Dept manages leases/collects fees.
These people and their LAND RESOURCES are still being
controlled, they need to allow Indigenous Peoples to
manage their own land.

Many of these tribes hold extensive rights to oil and gas
reserves, so don't expect any time soon for our federal
government to really allow any true sovereignty with
Indian tribes.
