Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who can I turn to in spite of it all;
You can judge me with warts and lies,
Shout me down with vinegar and flies;
Build me up with ego and vanity,
Question my youth and insanity;
Dish it out with the very best,
Take the punishment of my jest;
Stay in your place in darkness or light,
While without warning I take flight;
In anger and sadness a lashing out,
Filled with grief and ending in a pout;
How dare you laugh at me in a flash,
Now you will pay with a resounding crash.
Humpty Dumpty and you now look the same,
Millions of pieces what an absolute shame;
That will teach you in spite of it all,
Even the mirror can have a great fall!
