Mind flagging and starring the OP's you engage in, while not having anything of any value to contribute other than some one sentence, tellling me what everybody knows already anyway?

Good job, dude! Continue comming with such classy stuff!

Saturday and nobody can answer. Very telling, ATS-members. I'm kinda disappointed.

Edit: Above top secret? Eh?

Since when?

How and why would I think anybody here knows more than anybody else?

By what kind of paradigm is "above top secret" about "being above top secret"? In other words: What does it deliver, in terms of knowledge?

If it (it's members) can't even answer a very simple question, like: What is the history of capialism?

Can you teach me the history of capitalism properly? Yey or no?

Yes. Go to a fleamarket. There you have a perfect example of all these little peoples being very busy trying to raise some capital.

You have to engage in the business or idea of capitalism to understand it. It is not a Utopian concept; very much UNLIKE Communism or Socialism that takes everything one produces from everyone without compensation and redistributed for the good of the ONE/ALL (has never worked in all of history) as people tend to value their creations. Capitalism is a working system where the needs of others are provided for by the industriousness of others (see an opportunity and fill the void) a win win (nothing is free but is fair because the market allows the prices of goods and services to be set at a price point based upon demand).

I'd rather experience the flea market "trickle down effect" in Beverly Hills (preferably) than an advertised 'swap meet' at a Fire Ant Hill set in quicksand.

There it is.

And not only, but many small businesses model is better than a few monopolies because if small businesses fail, others spring up to fill the need, whereas larger corporations tend to 'corner the market' not letting any others compete which in effect keeps prices down, keeping it fair.

Monopolies charge whatever they want to for cheaper and cheaper goods, where else you going to go? Small businesses vie against each other, resulting in better quality, cheaper products.

It is the monopolies that have distorted the system by mass producing cents to the dollar products in (for now China/Mexico).

What are we looking at in the long term. Better neck ties made in America; a Pillow made in Minnesota "My Pillow.com" that costs exactly 100.00 dollars (buy now get one free). We as entrepreneurs have to outsmart each other FIRST; get the idea as die forms to China and ship with swift expedience before someone alters the product to get around the initial patent. Its a footrace. We have become a nation of shopkeepers; and not individual boutiques family owned; more of the franchise type (corporation owned).

You mean it was a bad idea to be born into a working-class/lower middle-class family? I should have considered being born into some upper-class family to get to know what capitalism is? Yeah, seems legit. In my definition captitalism means also: the accumulated wealth, in the form of resources, is only ever exchanged in the same kinds of family-trees for thausands of years.

And when some middle-class engeneer comes up with a good idea or product, he can lend some money from them to produce it under the condition that the capitalists, the old family-trees, benefit from it more than he himself does. THAT Is capitalism!

Tell more about your ideas, please. They are so accurate and inspiring. (...sarc...)

The Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Morgan, Rockefeller families did not create "Starbucks" or "Ben and Jerry's" or "Facebook/Microsoft/Apple".

That is called philanthropy. Mark Zuckerberg wants ''bridges" instead of walls built. Instead of creating a 150 million dollar useless advocacy group he should invest in American infrastructure (repair some of our crumbling bridges here).

Willingly: Tell more about your ideas, please. They are so accurate and inspiring. (...sarc...)

I would suggest you continue submitting your innovative idea/creation to "Shark Tank" just be sure you have sales and are not perceived as a "HOBBY LOBBY" enterprise.

I have to admit I have no idea what you are talking about.

And I consider someone like Mark Zuckerberg as an immature ...... you name it, who better gives away all his money and property to those who know what to do with it for the sake of all sentient beings, and not just the few he might recognize as such.

I'm done here now. Nothing more to say about the issue on from my side.

Over and out.

Without capitalism mankind would have never of progressed beyond hunters and gatherers. The basics of capitalism is trading what You have for what You need. If I am a chicken farmer but I want wheat for bread then I give Him eggs for wheat. The number # 1 reason people were allowed to form towns or cities is because pf division of labor which would have never of happened without trade. I know some liberal is going say capitalism is evil but they are just ignorant because capitalism isn't the problem it's crony capitalism and corporatism.

Be afraid of "Barter and Trade" if anything. You make a very good point jkm1864 regarding cronyism and those 'big box' banks that control interest rates loaning practices. The Fed would have a problem if this economy suddenly turned into one of barter and trade goods and services. At least the REAL inflation rates of 10% a year would have no bearing.
