I think most of us just want to be left alone.

I know I have to pay taxes, but I want to keep what I earn.

Other than that, just leave me alone. I won't support laws that affect you, don't support laws that affect me.

Which is why I have, over time, gravitated towards Libertarianism which is rooted in the rights of the individual. Both political parties in the United States want to dictate how you should live your life, they just come at it from different angles.
