This is what happens when you have marxist socialist central planning.

Venezuela : A Marxist socialist hellhole.

Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton supporters should take a look at what Marxist socialist policies do to countries.

You're talking about people who think they can do no wrong. When it all fails, they'll simply find a scapegoat. They'll never even consider the policies they support to be failed.

I saw that one too. I especially think the "No Gun Zone" and "No Smoking Signs" everywhere are a nice touch. It seems to be working out well for them.

Are you implying they'd be better off in Venezuela?

No one is saying that there aren't people who do poorly in a free society, but which type of society has more people who prosper and better prospects for overall prosperity?

Capitalism is infinitely more fair than what is happening in Cuba,Venezuala, and North Korea.

Capitalism is not as horrible as rampant Marxist socialism.

Really good spin.

Amazing piece of propaganda.

Now go to Switzerland and Norway and make a video and let's take a look at that.

This is 100% BS. Forget the word "socialism", forget the word "Marxism." It is all done by gangs. America is just like this, but, the gangs feed on money. Rise of Soviet Union didn't fall like this because they didn't have different group of gangs trying to control territory. Stalin executed majority of them. Soviet Union was way more united than this failed country. You can keep calling it Capitalism, Socialism, or Communism. The truth is, you have to look at the different groups rising out of no where in your country and the type of control system your country is using. Soviet Union did it peacefully through Lenin by the Workers party, therefore less corrupt. Everyone had the right to fight with arms. Venezuela did it completely opposite. The civilian population has no right to fight and gangs have taken control majority of the territory.

For one thing, communist China had to begin to use free market principles in order to prosper. For another, they have now become the epitome of a corporate state. The State IS the corporation in China. They do not play fair in business terms. In order to do business in China, you have to give up a certain amount of your company's corporate secrets to set foot inside the nation's markets. Then, they can and will change their standards on a whim and charge you for not instantly being compliant as soon as the change occurs. Also, if they discover how to rip off what you are making inside the state, they kick you out and you can no longer do business there. No one competes with the state version of the good.

My husband's company has entered into some business with China, and they have to be very, very careful with how they do it for those reasons.

Not to mention, when everyone looks at the prosperous parts of China, they see the cities. No one sees the majority of the country which is still rural backwater dump.

Oh, and of course, there is the every-present and ongoing environmental disaster ... but hey, that doesn't matter when we can try to score points off of how wonderful China's socialism is. Btw, Venezuela is destroying their environment too.

Sounds appalling, and they seem sincere, but I wish I could see more. Nonetheless, collapse is to be expected; it happens every single time without fail for good ol' socialism. Why even bother pretending?

Yeah, because that's the system of gov't Bernie is always preaching, Venezuela...

The gov't systems he admires also happen to be the majority of the top 10 most happiest places on Earth year after year and America and Venezuela ain't on it!

What do you want? A country run by a loud mouth buffoon or a Evangelist?

No thank you!

You're the one who said I might be surprised about China. Did I infer your remark incorrectly?

At the end of the day, the socialist dilemma is this:

Everyone needs $20 to make it through the day.

If I have $40 and the other guy has $0, the socialist just wants to take half of what I earned and give it to the other guy who earned nothing. Now we have both and the problem is "solved." The socialist never thinks about what happens when I resent having half my hard work taken and only work to earn $20 so that when I have $20 and the other guy still has $0 at the end of the day, there will not be enough. Often, all the socialist does is still take half of mine to give to the other guy, but now neither of us has enough, and that's the cycle you see in Venezuela.

Yeah, like decades of sanctions on North Korea didn't have anything to do with that. Or the decades of sanctions and embargoes against Cuba. Or the years of undermining Venezuela's government, like the US-backed coup that temporarily stripped Chavez of power.

Chavez and his administrations were completely focused on helping the poor. Extreme poverty in Venezuela decreased by something like 70% during his first 5 years in office.

Venezuela has seen a remarkable reduction in poverty since the first quarter of 2003. In the ensuing four years, from 2003 to 2007, the poverty rate was cut in half, from 54 percent of households to 27.5 percent. (See Table 1). This is measured from the first half of 2003 to the first half of 2007. As can be seen in the table, the poverty rate rose very slightly by one percentage point in the second half of 2007, most likely due to rising food prices. Extreme poverty fell even more, by 70 percent—from 25.1 percent of households to 7.6 percent.

Poverty Reduction in Venezuela.

He even had Venezuela's oil industry donate free heating oil to around 100,000 poor American families every year for 8 straight years.

For the eighth straight year, Venezuela's state oil company is donating free heating oil to hundreds of thousands of needy Americans.

The CITGO-Venezuela Heating Oil Program has helped more than 1.7 million Americans in 25 states and the District of Columbia keep warm since it was launched back in 2005. The program is a partnership between the Venezuelan state oil company Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), its subsidiary CITGO and Citizens Energy Corporation, a nonprofit organization founded by former US Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy II that provides discounted and free home heating services and supplies to needy households in the United States and abroad. It has been supported from the beginning by Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez.

Venezuela donates free heating oil to 100,000 needy US households

If you don't like socialism, that's fine. But at least be fair about it.
