'Nothing' means no entity - no separate anything. 'Nothing' means not two. If there is two then there are 'things' If there is less than two = not two (non dual). If all is 'one' then there is no separate 'things' - which means no thing.

The common perspective is that there is a 'you' and there is 'life' - 'you' believe that 'you' have a 'life'. Really there is just what is happening. There is no 'you' that the happening is happening to.

As soon as there is a belief in 'you' being separate then that is when 'things' are created. But 'you' were never created - there is no 'you' - there is only what is happening and it is not divided into two.


What also can happen is that words arise - the words seam to divide the 'one' into more than one. Remember that the 'one' is the only one so is not a 'thing' as such - it is nothing but is also all there is (which is everything).

Great thought. To see oneself in situ and interwoven to the life force here on earth. Just here to observe and make real a programme. (Creating by observing?)

If predeterminism is true then we are simply here to observe and experience exactly why we made those decisions, why things did what they did and will do what they do, and therefore to understand in detail why the program unfolded in its own unique way.


It's tough to let go of determinism... would anyone here think that an enlightened master who lived and purely observed their moment, the perfect observer, would they be able to free themselves to make their own decisions? And does that mean by extention of the fact that I am not enlightened, at least not for any length of time, that I have never made a concious decision in my life, or very very few?

To be a 'concious observer' and to therefore have conciousness does not equate with making a 'concious decision' and thereby free will.

There are no separate observers - the observer and the observed is what is happening but 'they' are not two - 'they' arise as one seamless happening.
There is only what is happening - call it 'Presence'. Nothing can be said about Presence - it is unspeakable. Words that arise as Presence split Presence into two 'before' and 'after' - this is were seeming separation happens.
Presence - this that is - is missed because words speak of other.
