It's no secret he's fluent in German :s

He can speak a couple of different languages. He's not too bad at English either, but he has said he prefers to speak in his own language when speaking to English speaking crowds, so that there's no mistranslation.

Yeah, Merkel also speaks fluent Russian, but they always speak in their home tongues when talking.

Not really surprising. Europeans are more likely to speak more than one language than we are. The distance from Calais to Moscow is half of that compared to Halifax to Vancouver.

East coast Canada is hard to learn. Being from the west coast, I can barely understand them....west coast is just like speaking American

Let me just get this out... I believe Putin is as corrupt as Obama.

C'mon. Think about it. He's a Baby Boomer. In Europe. The education systems there are vastly superior to our. Always have been. This really is not surprising.

I'll probably catch some heat for this but I like Putin. I've seen a number of interviews with him and he seems engaging to me.

He maybe crazy as hell but he come across as sincere to me.

Why does this make me feel so stupid that I can only speak 1.5 languages.
