ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY Official Teaser Trailer

For those not in the know, this is a stand alone Star Wars film that is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. The story revolves around the rebels and their attempt to steal the plans to the Death Star.

DAMN!!!

Episode 7 was okay and all...but THIS is what I wanted to see. Wow! I believe in Star Wars once again. Finally, we see the Rebellion and not just a bunch of people talking about it or fighting huge organized battles with heavy weapons.



Eta: What the Hell was going on in that shot of some dark cloaked figure kneeling in front of that glowing cylinder flanked by Imperial guards?

That was Darth Vader. I had heard rumors that he would be in this movie. This article confirms it: Link

Is that Palpatine trying to cheat death as learned from his master? Intriguing.

Yes, I believe it is Darth Vader. James Earl Jones signed on to voice the character again.

My foot is well and truly in my mouth.

When I found out the original canon was abandoned I was livid- but I've been proven wrong as Disney know the franchise and the fans well.

This is the movie fans have been asking for-Lock S-foils into attack position.

Vader's breathing can be heard in the lighted tunnel with the lead woman in it, so I have no doubt Vader is in it. He was always said to make an appearance.
The figure kneeling almost looks hooded...I don't really see the back of the iconic helmet as I keep rewinding and pausing.

In the canon cum non canon Palpatine cheated death by using clones.

All I know is that the figure in white is a Grand admiral and the figure in black could be Palpatine.

Just watched it again frame by frame...unless Vader is wearing a hooded cloak, that's not Vader. Maybe it is Palpatine...

True but; its in between 3&4, the Emperor should still be the same damaged body that Mace Windu cause by redirecting his force lightning back onto Palpatine. In ep 4-6 he is the same crippled man.

Cant tell!

The Imperial Guards in the room only hang out with the Emperor, makes me assume its Palpatine's room the figure is walking into.

But as mentioned before, this point in time Palpatine is still limping about after his fight with Mace Windu

Maybe I should just write it's a Sith with a nerd boner to get more attention to it...
But I doubt the whole clone thing will carry over...or at least I hope not...weakest part of the whole Dark Empire thing.

Maybe it's a Michael Jackson-style rejuvenation chamber like a glorified Force-ified Bacta tank and Palpatine is floating in the glow.

I think it's a inquisitor, not Vader.

Time will tell though
